Thumbs down Submitting to linklists...this sucks

I've been submitting to linklists for several months now and, but this fucking sucks. I try to submit:
www.domain.com/folder/folder/blah.htm
Now some linklists tell me to submit only real index dirs.

This forces me to build:
www.domain.com/folder/blah1/blah.htm
www.domain.com/folder/blah2/blah.htm
www.domain.com/folder/blah3/blah.htm
etc

I put the content in:
www.domain.com/folder/ for this freesite to save diskspace (only on virtual hosting). Now some linklist complain about this....

I think this is total BULLSHIT, I mean why do linklists have this rule in the first place? I think it has something to get better results in se:s, but not sure.

Up to this day I've ignored to submit to linklists that have these rules, but I need to change my freesite structures in order to get more traffic.

Pap send me your work I will list you dude,

I can understand your issue so what I am starting to do is 'group' the link lists which acept each type of build.

Like you say its rough on the old effort / result. I set 20 off and got 8 back saying I was listed. I guess the others just dicthed my ass yet their is still published.

I dont think its possbile to build one site that will please everyone so as you are learning find people to partner with that will list your work.

Build, submit, forget, build submit forget :-)

I can understand wanting submissions to be only index files and category specific recips.

But this one, I just don't understand the logic behind.

Could someone explain it?

Well some make rules to fit there needs and the best way to do what ya want to do is make an image file and link all the pics to that should get you listed but there are a ton of link list it might serve you better to find ones that fit your needs

ive been railing against these types of rules for forever now... i never get a reason that seems to make sense so i just chaulk it up to a linklist owner getting a big head and just lookign for reasons not to list sites. seems counter productive to me but its their list and like mr M said... just take your content somewhere which appriciates your effort

Kids are great, Appu. You can teach them to hate the things you hate and they practically raise themselves now-a-days, you know, with the internet and all

Just like TGP galleries, trying to build freesites that will meet everyone's requirements is going to be impossible.

Build the way that satisfies the most, and just submit to them. The LL with the weird rules obviously have more than enough submits and don't care about you.

You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.
