Hard time converting link list traffic?

I dont know why but I have the hardest time and worst conversions with link list traffic. I have better conversions with tgp traffic. I am still trying to find out what works. Take this site for example. http://www.shuzbox.com/3waydream/index.html I thought I did a very good job on this site and thought for sure I would get some sign ups. I got listed on all the major list, got some nice traffic and not one sign up. Can somebody give me some advice or tell me why I am not getting any signups from my ads. I used some nice table ads, some good sexy text. I dont know what else to do. I many other sites like this one and I cant get any sign ups. Somebody HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may got 0 (often) to 100 (never happen to me , yet )
Depends of your content, spnsors, link placement at LL. But when you have more than a site you may expect a stade flow of signups |rasta|

I guess what I would like to know Greenguy and anyone else is do you track your ad techniques with tracking codes, see what ads convert the best, table ads, banners, banner placement, text ads etc... and therefore build your free sites according to those statistics and if so what types of sponsor ads have the highest conversions and or get the most click throughs? What sponsors seem to do the best with free sites. To me it seems like link list visitors blast right by the ads to get to the content more so than tgp's even though I know tgp traffic is worse. Its just my experiences and I have built a lot of free sites over the years. Any help, advice and answers to my questions would be highly appreciated. I have been doing this a long time but like everybody I am still learning. I just haven't spent as much time with free sites. I need to though. I just cannot seem to find my rhythm with free sites but I really want to improve sales with them. Maybe I could funnel the traffic to a more productive scenario as far as sales go and not try to sell as much on the free site itself.

Wow I just checked and I actually made one sale.

My tgp ratio for same sponsor 5639 clicks

1:187

Although I can't really compare untill I send the same amount of clicks to some free sites with that sponsor.

The sponsor is built for tgp traffic but still, shouldn't make that much of a difference in ratios. Thats a terrible ratio for a free site and I thought the site would sell very well. How could I have got more sales from that site in your opinion?

Also what do you guys average (you know broad average) from your free sites as far as ratio?

658 is about 1/10th the amount of hits you'd need to make an accurate assesment. Of course, those stats for the gallery are awesome!

I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't - I don't track every site & every hit & what they clicked on & where they came from & etc. I look at 3 months worth of totals, see who's making me the most money per click & base my ads on that.

The stats I have posted here are what I use to determine what's built next

Thanks for the info Greenguy. Your right I need about 10 times the amount of clicks. I am going to do that this month and then I will have an accurate assessment. I will compare the stats to tgp and post the results here. For some reason I still think tgp will convert better than link list. But hopefully not!

I am fairly new to making freesites. I have 4 free sites total and started submitting like 2 weeks ago.

I let the first site go for a week just so I could analyze traffic and ratios, etc...

The other 3 sites I submitted Sat-Wed.

I have 3 sales so far and I'm not thrilled with that- but it's ok for what little sites I have out there.

*Maybe*, because I'm new and have had to really study the free site design a lot I can put in my .02?

Your sponsor links blend too much with the design IMO. The Gallery 1 Gallery 2 graphic links are BIG.

Why are the sponsor links so small?

Try some call to action text within the links like >CLICK HERE<

Don't make the Links to the sponsors blend in with the same colors as everything else. Use an opposite color that STANDS OUT against that very light pink.

A nice saturated PURPLE perhaps - #D224CF

You have lesbian content, but Eurobride tryouts isn't lesbian.

There just isn't much ad copy on the site and it follows that LL surfers will be more prone to Text ads.

You have a pretty visual site, but it's too easy to surf and ignore your ads IMO.

I read TGP traffic is much harder to convert, so you must have your shit together on TGP traffic.

I think you need more text and less graphics.

Surf some sites on LL's and when you come across a site where the ad text catches your eye think about why it did that.

Get in the surfers face with some add copy. Try different stuff, but you need text on free sites to covert well or even get click throughs IMO.

Feel free to ignore though since I'm pretty new to free sites.

PS- Have you promoted Adult Action cash at all? I see they have an $80 day coming up. They convert for you if you use AAC?

When I was starting with my free sites I tried to track every site, every ad to know what works best and guess what.. after few months I realized that's not possible. It's the feature of this biz - there is no pattern what works and what dosn't. You get sales from 80x120px ads and 800x600px as well so you gotta try different techniques and see the sales comming over time.

Tommy - I know it would but then based on prior experience, I count on at least 1 sale for very site submitted to you - and in most cases, more. I think a long time ago we did a chat on a different board where we came up with each link on your list being worth $10 a day?

jagoff - I dont know what you're doing to convert TGP traffic that well - but whatever it is - Id duplicate it over and over - thats about 10 times better than any consistent tgp conversions Ive ever heard of - and Id be jumping up and down if I could get consistent conversions on a gallery like that - matter of fact Id probably retire

Maybe the reason is that many big linklists now act like a TGP - they have big "NEW" section which visited by permanent bookmarkers.

How is having a newsites page on a Link List translate to acting like a TGP?

in my post before I didnt mean my traffic is so great and that would make the difference

I ment I am pretty sure it is not the traffic thats the problem

Just as I wrote above: a big "newsites" section looks (and works) like a TGP listing. The sites in such section are not selected by niche, it makes the traffic less targeted.
