Free hosted sites for link lists???

Same title on all pages. Example: index page title "XXX Hardcore", main page title "XXX Hardcore - Main", gallery page title "XXX Hardcore Gallery 1", etc.

Size of thumbs at least 130 on long side. Full size pix min 600 on long side.

No java script

different look to each site. Just plugging in different pix in the same tired old template won't work for me.

That's a lot of options! I sure hope there's a default setting that:

Links to the main tour
Doesn't have pics on html pages
Has no FPA

I see your concern. This will be available as an option. They can use the simple code that only contains their affiliate ID if they want.

What we are going to do is make a very easy to use link generator. The affiliate just checks off some check box's and fills out the optional ad id and URL and it generates the link for them.

The link generator will use the KISS principal.

Yep it does have default settings. Any variable left off has a default.

Currently the defaults are.

Has FPA
Pics on HTML pages
Link to Tour

The reason for the above is since the sites will also get search engine traffic we set the defaults to what makes us the most money.

This way any link lists that don't like FPA's or pics on html pages etc can turn them off easily.

I understand why you generally don't like pics on html pages because that gives you more to check. But, we make about 30% of our sales from html pic pages with text links on the bottom. At least this holds true in the single girl amateur market. Not sure about other markets.

Just curious why some link lists owners would have a problem with pics on html pages as far as sponsor provided free hosted free sites are concerned?

What Danielle is saying is true. I don't submit my sites to linklists that do not allow pics on html pages.

I have a simple philosophy:

If the surfer is seeing free content - then the surfer should also be seeing an advertisement.

That's one the incentive to join a paysite - NO MORE ADS!

Besides the sales benefit, you can do SE stuff if you have more pages, and without the html pages "sites" are really only two galleries with some superfluous pages. Not to mention the pics can stay centered, the background remains consistent, and you can use --> “next pic” navigation on these pages!

The only legitimate reason I can see for not allowing them is cheating, which should not be an issue with your free hosted site. If you catch cheaters on html page: blacklist them, run them through the mud on the boards, and let your peers know who they are. In this day and age bad submitters are easy to weed out!

This is a great thread in regards to FHS's.

I have a question on the configurable recips part.

Would LL owners like to have just 1 recip configurable or more? For example they may have more than one LL themselves they'd like to link to or maybe for other reasons such as SEO purposes.

Would having these configurable recips be a plus as far as a deciding factor in using or not using that sponsors FHS's?

The recip things doesn't really sway me one way or the other - the set up of the sites are the most important thing to me (hint - they should not look like 99% of the Hosted Galleries that are out there)

they dont like free hosted galleries. they are for structure like this,

thaey will dot accectt

maharaja - the rules for Hosted Free Sites differ just a bit from those of normal Free Sites that webmasters are building & submitting. For the most part, no one cares what the pages are named or how the directories are set up.
