Not much sleep again - Page 2

Hi folks,

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but. Looking at the sleep patterns of some of you I think a few need to be checked for sleep apnea. It is a pretty simple sleep study to see if one has it. But I can tell you that to ignore it can be fatal and if it doesn't kill you (RIP Reggie White) then it will fuck up your life (I am living proof of that). It really is some serious shit and I for one am spreading the word.

I'm sure I don't have it -- my wife was just diagnosed with it.

My sleep is interrupted, but due to external factors.

Hey cd34 I'm sorry to hear that but am also happy for her. Has she started with the machine at home and all? Heres hoping she does well.

Your comments about bio-feedback were interesting. I spent some time at a pain controll clinic where I learned bio, it is a life saver if practiced faithfully.

She only had the 2nd test for calibration last weekend. On the first test, they weren't looking for it -- she was there for a different issue.

We gave up waterbeds years ago. You can't imagine how much better we sleep. We have a 'Stearns and Foster' we call a life-sucking mattress. Five minutes on the thing and you are out cold for 2 hours.

Our bed is fine, but I've been tempted to look at those memory-foam mattresses. We got one of those pillows and it eliminated quite a bit of neck/shouder pain. I think you need a 2nd mortgage for one of those mattresses though. I never see anyone in the store, and they have quite a bit of rent overhead. They don't hire young kids, so, they've got to be charging a fortune to be able to keep that place open.

For me...I just think it is time to give up the folly of thinking I can sleep in a waterbed. That's what was here and we decided to try it.

Dump the waterbed only thing they are good for is the warmth.When I got married the exwife had one and it was ok but damn the motion wound always wake me up.
And don't let the damn heaer die that really sucks haha

We gave them up to Chris...back in the early 90s. But, my mother loved waterbeds and bought the best she could find about 2 years ago. We gave our regular nice bed to my son when we moved.

I get up at 5 each morning, but go to bed at 1 or 2 midnight every night, at the end of the week i just will fall asleep after diner, my hubby takes a nap every day he is also up at 5...now my kids have an holiday and i sleep till 9 or 10 morning, damnn i am getting lazy.If i have to much stuff to do on the net, i cant sleep...i will be thinking and turning around in my bed, best solution then is to get back to work...
