What is the latest on the number of recips per site?

Here we go again.

What is the latest consensus on how many link list recips should be on each free site?

Would love to hear everyones opinions.

Personally I think 3 rows of 4 for a total of 12 is perfect.

I am also starting to think that the best place to put link list recips is on the INDEX page between "Scroll Down To Enter" and the actual "Enter" link.

This seems to keep all eyes on ads once they are in the site yet give link lists relevant links.

What do link list owners think about my thinking?

Think you pretty well nailed it.

As indicated by this thread , I think that the consenus is 9 to 12. I think that the LL owners are also paying close attention to the appearance of the recip table.

As far as placement of the recip table, from prior discussion it seems that most prefer the warning page and as most rules state, it should be above the enter link.

Question(s) for LL owners. Do you get significant traffic off of the recips? Or is it more for the actual links and the SE benefits?

Well I just submitted a site with 16 recips and havent had any problem so far.

It really is all in a nice layout of the recip table, in my experience.

Stouch - significant traffic - not a chance

SE - probably a small amount - again probably more SE benefit to the free site than there is to the Linklist by a long shot

Have in mind that if you put 4 "category" recips next to each other + some cellpadding, it's very easy that the page will get too wide for an 800x600 screen.
