Since There's No NHL This Year...
I think I'll start following the American Hockey League. My city just got this team:

We do have the Rochester Amerks which is about 75 miles from here. But the guy that owns the Sabres owns them too, so they're gonna play a few games here in Buffalo

we have the Providence Bruins whicj is just a little further than a trip to Boston from where I live
and as a bonus theres some pretty cool bars to hang out in Providence too :-)

Cool! We had 16,000 people turn out for the first home game. It's still good hockey & refreshing seeing guys who play with heart, for the love of the game rather than a fat paycheck.
