Nice car...but even if I could afford it, I don't know if I would. I'd want to be able to open it up and that would get me arrested like every other day!

Here's the ride I'm looking to get next May: http://www.chixcustomcycles.com/gall...rple/index.htm
The scheme is going to be black, with wrinkle black engine & wrapped exhaust. I can't freakin' wait!

Damn, tickler....you should not have put that link up. I have an undying passion for old cars, bobber-style motorcycles, rockabilly, and tattoo's. As my wife would say, "Don't feed the Animal".

All very well owning things like that, it's another to maintain them.

Look at the yearly servicing + depreciation and you might aswell flush your cash down the shitter.

hahaha tickler...I haven't shown that one to the wife - yet.

Bobc - that's why a classic is, IMO, a better idea. There's no way in hell I could work on that car listed up at the top. Whereas, a motorcycle or a nice classic, you've got everything sitting right there to fix/tinker with. Basic tools and a Clymer's Manual is all one needs to begin. Oh, and a wife/significant other who understands why you spend so much time on the computer and in the garage!

Ahh...only 8 more months for that dream bike!!

You're not wrong there, a classic will always turn more heads than some plastic faggot wagon that's probably gonna end up wrecked anyway.

When it comes to dealing with the wife and the "it's me or the car" moaning, least you can drop her at the bus station in style.

...and maybe its just me, but the low growl of a Boss 429 sounds way better than these tin can mufflers today. Some of these little things sound like they're on the verge of exploding 'cuz they have to hit 6-7000RPM's to get any hp. I recall, on a deserted road of course, getting a Boss 429 up to 80. In 2nd gear. It just sounded wonderful.

As for my wife, thank God she'd never think along those lines. Last year I almost died in a sportbike accident. Everyone thought I'd never ride again. Got a new cruiser 3 weeks later, and we rode it to dinner on our anniversary a couple weeks after buying it. She has said she'd never want to stop me from doing something I love.
