New Here And Need A Hand

God evening everyone. I'm new here and I may not have earned the priveledge of coming to the bards to ask for anything yet - if that's the case please forgive my premature newbian ramblings...

I've just launched http://www.abbiesgalleries.com and while I don't use a traffic trading script of any kind, I would love the opprtunity to swap real links with a few honest webmasters.

My background is in print graphics so I'm fairly uninformed about doing the traffic thing - *fairly uninformed is putting it very lightly).

How does one go about getting listed on great sites like Link-O-Rama, Tommys-Bookmarks, Cleo's Links and all the wonderful sites that I see mentiond here everyday? I would be more than willing to trade some graphics work for links if that's a possibility (I think I do pretty good work but I'm predjudiced)
