add my condolences as well Plateman, sorry to hear such sad news. My grandmother died last year - it's hard to lose someone no matter what age they are.

Sorry to hear that.

My step Dad just died last week.
He was in a home for about a year. I got into a fight with my Mom a few weeks ago so we haven't spoken, but she called to tell me he died.

She's not having any service for him, she's just getting him cremated. So I'm still not talking to my Mom - uhg.

Yeah sorry to hear that Plateman.
93 is a very blessed age indeed, many people would sign for that

sorry for your loss plateman.

I HATE the fact that we still live such short lives and before I got into this game I studied my ass off learning about how science and technology are converging to offer us radically extended lives in the not too distant future, gene therapy using RNA interfacing, genetic engineering, drugs which are in the pipeline as we speak for FDA approval that will propbably add 10-15 years by themselves, ALT-711, EUK-189, NtBHA, PBN, M40403, and a muscular dystrophy drug that will prevent sarcopenia(Muscle loss) in the elderly. There is also a company http://www.cytoritx.com/ that is using stem cells derived from your own adipose(fat) tissue, culturing it, and then putting them back in you to help cure what ails you.

This site is cool http://www.mprize.org/index.php?pagename=whyaging if you are unfamiliar with the topic and want to help out, back in the 30s it was though that smallpox, which killed millions was not preventable, today it kills virtually no one; aging will be the same in the future.

With $10,000, we'd be millionaires! We could buy all kinds of useful things like ... love!

Sorry about your loss

My Dad died almost 6 years ago... it's not a nice time but time does heal.
