You are right about a few things...I did kind of stop posting here for a while. Just becasue I wasn't posting, doesn't mean I wasn't reading. I read this board 4-5 times a week on an average. I may have fucked up a few times in the past, but who hasn't? One thing you didn't bother to point out that I hadn't done that in a long time, or the number of webmasters I've reffered here, or the links that I've kept up to GG and Jim through think and thin, I've done the SE chat a few times, and much more.

Truth be told, Jay & I (as well as Jay & this board) have had our problems in the past - hell, the last problem (aside form this one) just ended yesterday - and they did seem to eventually get resolved (some not a gentlemanly as others)

Jay was at one time a very valued member & contributor to this board, but once OC Cash opened, his interest the the board dropped off. And I can completely understand that, because projects & new business ventures like that tend to become your main priority.

I will say that I was upset in the lack of updates to this thread, especially once the issue was resolved & we found out thru people reading other board, but I didn't really care about it because I can't stand pimpdog anyway (but a timely update would have been nice)

I am also a bit perplexed by the "show I could take him down a notch if I wanted to" comment that Jay made. It comes off as if Jay was just flexing his muscles as opposed to being upset about the horrific comments that were made.

That being said, Jay really is a decent guy if you meet him face to face & I know that his board persona is a tad bit different than talking to him in person.

From what I have learned after thoroughly investigating over the past couple days, is that it's indeed the default for the newest version of nats, and if the option is not there, it has been deliberately removed from the template.

I don't know about previous versions of nats though. Anybody?

I have broken this into two parts because GG loves the quoting thing. Here's the skinny on that. OC Cash does have the encode/unencode switch these days. Chop wasn't aware of it, which is pretty much due to past threads. At that point, OC was one of the NATS programs not allowing unencoding of links. I'm not bashing OC here, just stating a fact with no opinion on the matter what so ever. I assume Jay didn't catch what Chop was getting at about the NATS issue and that may be why part of this argument has been left unanswered.

The initial versions of NATS did not allow for the unencoding of links to my knowledge.

Anyone that is running the NATS V2 or better has them in there (including OCCash...so you can add that to Chop's list - LOL).

The only point I would like to make about the unencryted codes is that they are much more likely the fail (or get jacked) than the encrypted ones. A LOT of computers have Spyware / Scumware that looks for strings in linkcode like ref=xxxjay and can change them to ref=spyware'scode. With the encrypted (while not foolproof) will experience less of these problems.
