Actually I never thought that this Hun is The Hun, but I've been known to be wrong sometimes.

Yes, well, I could tell that people were uncertain about this posters identity, and since I have no face to lose, and I kinda feel that the TGP board here is a place where I have some responsibility to be a greeter, I decided to post a greeting.

"What's the worst that could happen?". ;-}

My other options were to ignore the poster or to ask "are you the Hun?". Both seemed a bit cheesey.

If I look like a dolt, at least I'm a polite dolt.

I confess I didn't even look at where the poster claimed to be from, I don't pay much attention to what goes in that part of the message boards output, there's no way to tell if it's true or not.

On the topic of greetings.. Hi Bill and everyone. To the original topic - I agree that submitters such as GASS and Advance can be helpful but only with the smaller TGPS. When you work hard to make a nice gallery, you want to get it out there as much as possible. So it's most effective to modify the top converting sites for manual submission and just auto the smaller sites.

I am very sorry for causing this kind of misunderstanding. Let me please explain the situation:

I started in adult biz about 4 years ago and actually had to choose my nick. At that time I didn/t know who TheHun is but I haerd that "Hun" was smth very cool in internet. I chose that nick and used it on every forum. A am a new one here but decided to use Hun as my nick just to let people who already know me see that it is me. I am from Russia and show that frankly 'cause I do not want to be confused.
Why can I send a lot of signups? The thing is that I have ppl working for me. We are quite successfull in submitting absolutely clean galleries. Now I want to start mpromoting with movies.

Sorry again. I never meant neither to make anyone look doltish, nor to use somebody's honest name.

Hello keey0p, welcome, it's always good to talk with another gallery builder. How long you been doin' it? You operate any TGPs? There are lots of small TGP owners here.

Hello Hun, hey, don't worry about it, it was my error, not yours. I understand the old nick thing, but you might think about saying "Hey, I'm not THAT Hun.". He is a pretty famous character in the TGP game, and it's a surprise to see someone else using the name.

What's it like, being a russian gallery poster?

Thanks for the welcome Bill and everyone! I run a small TGP www.pornstew.com. It's open to all niches so if you wanna submit feel free. I guess I got in on this biz a little late.. i wish I would have earlier because I enjoy making clean galleries. For now, I make enough money to have a good time on weekends but it's not a career. From what I've read, it seems that making a career of posting is long gone. Is it true?

Well, I would say the great days of gallery posting are definitely past, but a person with the right knowledge set and 10-20k$ to invest could still extract a middle class living out of it. It just would be much more dull work and much less fun than it was 2-3 years ago. Could an inexperieced person do it working from a cold start? Well, lets just say I haven't seen it.

But, if you combine gallery posting with a distributed set of business activities, you can usually extract a useful amount of profit from it.

There are 'corporate' type groups of professional gallery builders and posters that work by the numbers, they get a 50-100% margin out of posting and they can survive okay on that. But those types of groups seem to be reducing in numbers these days too. Non-U.S. and non-western-european posters seem to be increasing the fastest.

I'd hate to try living off gallery posting profits alone, but I'm easily bored, I like a little variety in my day to day worklife.

Thanks for the tip - I'm spending most of the time working on building up productive TGP traffic in hopes that it will create better returns in the future. I know it will take time but what the hell. What's your experience like with running a TGP these days?

As for me I can generate 200k manually and only 100-120k with the help of autosubmitter. That's why I select "hands"

I wouldn't necessarily call what I said "tips", more like opinions.

Well personally keeyOp, I don't run anything but fake TGPs. Real TGPs are too much work for not enough money in my opinion, but I run my business overall with a philosophy of avoiding excessive contact with webmaster submissions.

However, I look over the shoulders of lots of people running small TGPs, so I know a bit about it. One of the things I know is that small TGP owners rarely report large profits. You are actually much more likely to be making money from gallery posting than from running a small TGP.

But running small TGPs has advantages- the first being that when other TGP owners get to know you you can submit more galleries and get accepted more.

A couple of general rules- run multiple TGPs, not just one, for trading purposes and to target and focus traffic. Keep your own galleries at the top. And remember you have to sell off a TGP too, you can't just put up lists of sponsors and expect to make sales just because it's on a TGP. (I see a lackadaisical attitude towards selling on most small TGPs.)

Sounds like good advice Bill, I'm going the route you speak of so it's just a matter of time I suppose. I hope to make more contacts with other webmasters in the future.
