I remember not long ago everyone was screaming that there was too much free stuff out there.

Now it is too many submitters as well.
Just my 1 cent but it seems to me that things are getting stale.
Theres only so many places now that don't have accounts and atleast its not 30 sites of the same sponsor same look etc.
I'm probly wrong but it seems like folks are getting lazy on both sides of the fence.
I choose not to get partner accounts go back to old school and find ways to get traffic.
Don't get me wrong rules are rules but seems to be too many followers nowdays.
Think about how it is you came to make 4-10k a month an as that drops and it will think about that ig door you closed
Partner accounts and closed subs was not how you got there and yes there will always be cheaters.
BTW Paul you always have great content keep it simple and you'll do great

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions

Peeman Yes the thumbs were made by the gallery designer and need sorting out.

Alphawolf Thanks for the suggestions, I like the idea og a banner at the top telling them what they get. The front page changes every day check it out today. These are todays additions, some days we have better than others. But hopefully the tour will change soon. Taking to long and one designer may be getting kicked out.

CLEO makes a good point here. The good TGP and link sites are getting sunmissions from the sponsors themselves. They can no longer rely on affiliates to get them listed and they can afford to pay.

IMO The traffic market will change this year, up until now the emphasis has been largely on clicks well with people paying that emphasis will change to conversions.

TGP and LL sites buying/exchanging traffic that no paysite would touch. to me it's traffic that is VERY heavy on free surfers and light on surfers looking to buy. I don't see the process of these people going via a TGP site will suddenly turn them into buyers, even though they get more choice.

tiny again another guy to agree with, we will be looking at other ways beside LL, TGPs and Link dumps to raise traffic. Might start talking to a few mags about free sets for a URL tag on the sets. We have a lot of second rights sets sitting on our shelves that would be attractive to a magazine for free and good for us with a URL banner.

But where you are wrong is with the changing market. In business never assume what worked yesterday will work tomorrow. They may have got where they are with free submissions, but could stay there with paid and partner sunmissions.

Thanks for the compliment on the content, just need to get a good tour going showing what we do.

Paul, things are moving about as fast as you can imagine. Just when you thought you have a grip on it, it slides away on ya.

There are things you can do as a program owner to get traffic, to market directly to link site and TGP owners. You can shorten the cycle, and improve your traffic situation.

As in Free Hosted Sites!

Might want to be careful since the license agreement from your content provider does not allow using content on free hosted galleries but it is okay to give the content to affiliates to promote your site.
