Gotta agree with Basschick and Andrej on prices, we have tried most combinations and found out that cheap simply isnt worth it Its simply a numbers game, get the most out of them while you can.... (This is ofcourse from the siteowners view )

We have used "odd" prices for a while and that seems to be working good, like 38.61 is the recurring charge, anyone else got any experience doing that? The membership doesnt immeadelity show up as a membership on the creditcard statement then I think.

this is a technique i've thought about & i'm going to try for my upcoming sites. but i do feel pricing makes a big difference in keeping a member. when anything over 30 bucks shows up on someone's cc bill, wives notice, they personally notice... it starts becoming a "dent" in your budget @ that point. "big" sites have $30+ sites because they have other expenses to support. if your affiliate program isn't "huge" or u just don't have one, try an odd price between 25 & 29 bucks. i think you'll see a difference in retention

but then its pretty funny that they reply to problems later than all the smaller paysites.
I personally think that if the members section is made for surfers(easy to navigate, good help page), they dont email you very often.

well, they put their sites up for money... not necessarily for the joy of running the site AS WELL AS the money. that's the big difference with adult sites today & those that were running before the turn of the milinneum (sp)
