well i have to say for all the crap ny takes..they have a great school system..when we moved to NV the 1st time.. i had a daughter who was a jr and a son who was a sophmore in high school. at the end of their respective years, the principal of the school called us in and said if we wanted to, they'd administer to them the 'ged' test and give them recommendations to early admission to college. my son took that option, my daughter choose to stay and graduate. but both of them had gone to nyc public schools, my son had 4 yrs of japanese from 6 thru 9th grade and regents level math and science.

no way could nv match.. and nothings changed since they are still number 49 in the states for education.. now alabama can say thank goddess for Mississippi and Nevada.

i have no idea why i'm rambling.. i guess i thought this was my blog.. lmao.. immigration overload

Well, we had the meeting. My lawyer, the Superintendent, Guidance Counselor, myself and surprise, surprise, they brought my daughter in.

We started talking and my daughter stood up and said, "I don't want my dad to spend another penny on this. I will go to summer school and get my diploma when I am done."

I have never been so proud of her.

I forgot to mention. My daughter failed this class with a 63. 65 is passing. The class is not an important class and the school where my mother used to teach has offered to graduate my daughter. But, she doesn't want a diploma from another school.

I have to go talk to a School Board Member (Neighbor of mine) this afternoon. I have to keep trying as long as I don't spend any money.

This, my friends, is what fathers do for their daughters. They fight to the death for them.

I was also threatened to be arrested yesterday when I said I would jump up and scream my daughter's name when it should be called. All in all, my daughter was afraid. My Lawyer wants to wait until the Friday of Graduation and get a judge to order the school to allow her on stage. Being a Friday, the school would not have time to stop it. But, I am doing as my daughter has asked.

Here, if you don't have $78 for the cap and gown stuff you can't walk accross the stage.
I found that out when we went to my daughters last month and noticed her best friend not sitting with the rest of the students. That had to suck for her.

I even offered a bribe. I said that it would cost a few thousand to use a lawyer and I would much rather put that into a scholarship

Jim have your whole group of family and friends all yell for her at the same time during the ceremony... last I knew peaceful protest was an American right, although they might try to herd you all into a fenced of area 1/2 a mile away like the republicans do nowadays

I said that too her.
My lovely wife, Victoria, wants to ride our Harley's back and forth during the outdoor ceremony.
