I wonder if they measured this guys blood alcohol level at the hospital.
I got my first shotgun when I was 9 years old and have gone quail hunting hundreds if not thousands of times, when your flushing quail out the sun is always to your back ALWAYS! why because even frightened and even with a pea sized brain a quail isn't going to fly blindly in the direction of a setting sun.
Quail, dove and pheasant hunting aren't like duck geese or pidgeon hunting where your ass is parked in a blind and your shooting at birds that are flying over head, quail are on the ground and you either flush them out with a dog or by walking through the brush.
As is typical of this administration we are not getting the whole story

There are too many basic rules when quail hunting to accidentally shoot a man in this way. Even the most right wing idiots will have to fess up to that sooner or later.

What's most interesting was CNN announced that the owner of the ranch is a lobbyist for a company that got $5.2 Billion US in Iraq contracts. Second only to Haliburton the company where the VP still owns stock options.

It's at an almost commical stage. The amount of denial that it takes to say this administration is even remotely legit is on the edge of absolute lunacy.

Some people are never satisfied. For years I have been listening to Americans complaining about Lawyers and saying that the government should do something about them, then when your Vice President makes a start does anyone thank him?

David Letterman last night:

"My motto has always been, if you shot an attorney, you better kill it."

Cheneys Got a Gun

Administration Presses Novel Effort for Tort Reform

Cheney leads effort to attack lawyers

Kingsville, Texas (AP) -- Impatient with stalled efforts to close the courts to litigants, the Bush Administration literally fired the first shot in its groundbreaking "No Lawyer Left Standing" initiative. Vice-President Cheney, hunting on a private lawyer ranch near Kingsville, Texas, bagged an impressive buck (Harry Whittington, UT Law '50). Under the new program, hunters may take one white shoe in-house lawyer or three outside lawyers daily. There is no limit for trial lawyers. "We've just got to thin the herd," said the Vice-President. "We've tried tort reform and caps on damages, but people are still suing." Cheney added, "It's easy and fun. In Texas, you can shoot in almost any direction and hit a lawyer."

It would be funny if it weren't true
