Why is there no "random picks" today? I know nothing about NFL, and am getting errors when trying to save nicks picks ie "You entered the pick weights incorrectly" and "you entered the tie-breaks incorrectly" For tie breaks I just put in any random number ie 13, and for weights I chose random numbers off the drop down list.

I don't know if I've ever seen more missed field goals in a single NFL week as I did this week. Hmm, would have to be a poolhost issue. I haven't noticed the random picks button being missing, it's there today as I just looked.

That's basically what the random button does anyway.

You just have to choose your weights so that every number in the "weights line" (located just above your picks) gets blacked out. If they're not all blacked out the system won't accept your picks.

Thanks, the random was missing, luckily I received a reply from help@poolhost.com in time to get my picks in. I remember the random picks not being available a couple of times last year.

That's basically what the random button does anyway.

WEEK SIX RESULTS

This was maybe one of the toughest weeks for picks in the entire pool history. Manning throwing INT after INT yet the Broncos are 6-0. Both the Niners and Saints are seemingly back after suffering humbling losses in the opening weeks. NE couldn’t cover the spread. Detroit couldn’t cover. Broncos couldn’t cover. And Carolina beat the Seahawks, what’s up with that? And speaking of what’s up with that, what was up with that crazy boneheaded messed-up play the Dolts tried on NE? If you saw the highlight you’ll know what I mean. Arguably one of the dumbest ball snaps in football history.

WEEK SEVEN RESULTS

Buffalo and Jacksonville put on a pretty good show in London England, the Jags surprising a lot of people with the upset win over there.
Meanwhile the Cowgirls seem all but handcuffed without Romo at the wheel. In NE it seems even on Brady’s BAD days the Patriots win.

WEEK FOURTEEN RESULTS

I’ve been putting this off for several weeks now but I think it’s finally time to talk about the NFC East. This once mighty division has become sort of the “pointy-hat-wearing fat kid in the corner” of the league this year, and I guarantee you that no one who knows a thing about football would have predicted the Redskins at 6-7 would be this div’s leader (and currently headed to the playoffs no less). Dallas at least has their “we lost our QB” excuse, sort of, but the Eagles and Giants have no excuse whatsoever. Especially the EAGLES, but either one of them should really be owning it right now.... except they aren’t. They’re not out of it yet of course, but.... are the Deadskins really going to the playoffs???

Some years it seems the later in the season we get the crazier the games get, and this year is one of those. Raiders getting sack after sack on the Broncos 2nd stringer and beating them, a team that was NOT all QB and was winning even in spite of Manning’s so-so performance. Wow, I never thought I’d see it. Jacksonville utterly destroying Indianapolis, again wow. And Carolina the ONLY undefeated team?? Just wow.

WEEK FIFTEEN RESULTS

Some wild and crazy games this week. Odell Beckam Jr goes batshit crazy in that Giants – Panthers game on Sunday for one, incurring three unnecessary roughness penalties which very likely cost his team the game. Unfortunately for many poolers though, although Carolina got the win they failed to cover the spread. Ouch.

Redskins are somehow getting it done in the NFC East. The Seahawks are back to looking like the Seahawks, the ones that no one wants to meet in the playoffs. Those Seahawks.

WEEK SEVENTEEN RESULTS

The Steelers not only needed a win over the Browns but also needed the NYJets to lose to Buffalo, and lo and behold they got everything, and they’re in the playoffs.
The Vikings win over the Pack means that Minnesota is going to the post-season winning the NFC North for the first time since ‘09. Awesome for them. Green Bay meanwhile still makes it in but they are struggling.
SEAHAWKS needed a win plus a Carolina Panthers loss in order to win home field adv. in the playoffs. They got the huge win over Arizona but, well, no way in hell were the Panthers going to lose to Tampa. ha

So the playoff picture is set, the regular season is at an end. Time for playoff football, YES!

The Worst Picker Prize: $200 prize for the person ending up with the lowest score of the entire season+playoffs. The winner must have made all of his/her picks for the year to qualify. Thus, the first person at the bottom who has made all of their picks who ends up with the lowest overall score wins this highly coveted award.

Let me clarify so there's no confusion --- For the Superbowl prize you are eligible if you've submitted picks each and every week for the entire season plus playoffs. YOU CAN have missed picks on certain games though.

For the worst picker prize --- you must have made all of your picks, every game, every week, for the entire season plus playoffs.

The first person in the standings who is fully eligible to win will be the one selected for each of these prizes.
