I just have to say that it was a week of excellent Bowl games. (even though they somehow had #3 playing #22) Lots of good viewing for sports fans.
It didn't hurt that in the last 3 games the teams I wanted to win, won.

Damn, I was hoping to find out what I thought of the game in here this morning. Guess I will have to wait.
I may be wrong and I'm sure I'll be told I am by the experts, but Vince Young dominated last night and I think he should be the #1 pick if he goes to the NFL. Why on earth would he stay? If Houston was smart they would get him and trade Carr, Young is by far a batter athlete and now he is a Texas god, so he will also fill seats. But what do I know. |

If the Texans were really smart they'd trade the #1 pick and fill in a few key spots on the offensive and defensive lines. But those guys only win ball games, they don't make great press and put people in the seats.

I thought it was great game, but maybe it's because I wasn't really rooting for either team. Best bowl game I saw this year! |

I hope no one thinks I don't like Carr, I do like him, but as Toby mentioned he has no Off Line and he can not run for his life like Young can, and trading the #1 pick will not get you enough linemen when you need so many, so IMHO, get Young, trade Carr for a solid Off Linemen, and trade some later picks for another linemen. There are a lot of teams who need QB’s.
If the Texans do take Young and they draft anything BUT an Off line after him, they need to fold up and move to LA. |

Shawn Alexander is NFL MVP
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2281472
Alexander 19 Manning 13 Brady 10 Tiki 6 Palmer 2 Honestly thought it would be a tie with Tiki and Shawn, and MAYBE a three way with Manning. |

Tiki seems to be one of those guys that gets overlooked for whatever reason, but that dude can “tote the rock like nobodies bitness” and almost never fumbles.

Now.... the last few years he was terrible (not as bad as Green), if you watch him he is carrying the ball a completely new way over last year, the ball is now against the bottom of his shoulder pads/chest area and when he is in traffic he grabs his wrist. Last year he held it at his waist and used one arm in traffic where he had fumble after fumble. But yeah I agree, Tiki deserved better this year. BTW, Greeny, don't you think this needs to be renamed to 'larjon"? |

now my FEELINGS ARE hurt(
anyway I officially stand here eating crow and bleeding rectally as my trojans lost their crown to the Longhorns. No excuses. No shoulda woulda coulda. SC did not have an answer on how to stop Vince Young and when it was 4th and 5 and vince has the ball on the 12 yard line, even I knew what was about to happen. PS: Green guy did ok at the seminar. I learned from one of his peers on the panel that if you want alot of traffic that you need to submit to all the link lists, as many as you can, do your se pages for all the search engines and also buy traffic. WOW, glad I had a pen handy........ |

Let’s hear your Super Bowl predictions
Last year I called the Pats over the Eagles in a close game in August which was the first time I was ever right in a preseason pick, this year I called Colts over the Falcons so my streak didn’t last too long.
So let’s see who can predict the Super Bowl winner. I say the Colts will win it over Seahawks, I think Carolina and the Bears have a great shot, but I really think the NFC is wide open, the AFC is between the Colts and Pats, but I think the Colts will pull it out this time. |

I got Colts over Seahawks as well.
What about a darkhorse pick? If I had to pick one I would say Denver. No real reason why, just a gut feeling.

Although offense wins you games, defense wins ya championships. Based on this old addage, you can't not pick the Bears or the 'Skins. In all seriousness though, its still too early to make predictions. Denver and Seattle have been playing well. The Colts have faltered in recent weeks and New England has looked less than stellar. If I had to make a choice right now, I'd still pick Pittsburgh, even though they just snuck in , they've still won 4 in a row.

I'm a huge steelers fan. I'll be wearing my Greg Lloyd jersey while watching the games...but even I'm not giving them much of a chance to get to the big game.
In my experience, they'll get far enough to send Cowher to the pro-bowl. This comes from years of dissappointment btw. But I still got my fingers crossed... |

lol. . . Pats are too good to be considered a darkhorse IMHO.
Pornrex makes a good point about defense especially when it comes to “da Bears”. Grossman is a capable enough quarterback to pull it off like Dilfer did with that Raven's D.

Bears' Lovie Smith wins Coach of the Year
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2283709
"...Smith drew 24½ votes from a nationwide panel of 50 sports writers and broadcasters who cover the NFL. Dungy was next with 20½." Thought Tony had a locke on this for sure this year. |

Tony's problem was that, the Colts were already a good team. In fact I'm surprised it was that close. The coach of the formally, really sucky team usually has a big advantage.
