This leads to my problem. I just removed 2 from my queue last night as we watched Christopher Robins (exactly what I expedted) and Mowgli (better than expected) last night. Also watch Kevin Hart's Black History (learned some new things) yesterday at lunch so actually my queue did drop by 1. |

We didn't get to After Life, but we did watch Abducted In Plain Sight and just WOW!! I won't ruin it (it's obviously about a kidnapping) so just trust me when I say
We then finally watched the 2nd 10 episodes of Making A Murderer. I say finally because it came out in October & I remember watching the 1st 10 right after it came out around Xmas 2015. If you're like I was going in, they address all the stuff you heard they left out of the 1st 10 & his new lawyer debunks EVERYTHING they have on him & bring up 2 other pairs of suspects (not in detail, but there's definitely questions there). It was a loooooooong day on the couch |

I binged After Life and I liked it as it made me and as it deals with death from cancer and suicide, so be forewarned.
Maybe it just hit a little to close to home for me. |

To be honest, I really hate Mötley Crue. But I do like a good Music-film. It even made me cry a bit and every guitar-player with a cronic, progressive, muscle/skeleton disease got my sympathy. The Dirt was a good film, that's for sure. (I somehow missed Tommy Lee marrying Heather Locklear. "Heather be thy name...") Jlly |

We have to be about the same age (48). Shout At The Devil came out when I was 12 & I remember my mother saying she wouldn't buy it for me because so when I was out shopping with my aunt & she said I could buy any tape I wanted....needless to say I fell in love with it, then found Too Fast For Love & fell in love with that (even though Tommy Lee's overuse of the cowbell doesn't really hold up today lol). I know my music got "heavier" around 85 when I heard Ride The Lightning, but you gotta admit, they had some great songs with awesome riffs thru the years. I mean, how can you not like the 1st 45 seconds of Dr Feelgood and again from 2:53 to 3:33:
(Mick Mars is very underrated) I know they're a "hair band" but they were easily the heaviest out of all of them. Go listen to: Wild Side, Kickstart My Heart, even Primal Scream - all heavy & crunchy I know it's not "cool" to like them, but I'm here to tell you it's ok |

I'm looking forward to seeing The Dirt but forgot it came out and also caught up in the following below.
Today I binged thru Extras with Ricky Gervais that made me a number of times each episode. This helped with the funk I also have watched/binged a couple of kids cartoon shows over the past week in thanks to my grandson: 3Below & Trollhunters Actually found them to be entertaining enough to watch while working on a laptop. |

I finally added The Dirt to my queue and noticed a new season of The OA.
Decided to watch an episode of OA instead of the movie cause I wanted to go back to my office after lunch figuring that would only be 45 to 60 minutes but ended up watching 6 episodes. 2 more to go which I'll do today |

Finished OA and thought it was still really good though some parts were a bit wonky. Also sets itself up for a third season though it has not been renewed as of yet.

Judas Priest is still a huge band for me. Me and some of my friends used to make fun of Looks that Kill by playing it on guitar and making fun of the lyrics. But to be honest, I think we all loved that riff in silence. It's a killer riff, I'll give you that. I have The Dirt but hasn't come around to read it yet. I enjoyed the movie and as I said, any guitarist with challenges like that is OK in my book. I didn't know Vince lost his daughter and "killed" his friend either. So I have a bit more sympathy for the band now. I was a bit disappointed that Pamela Anderson wasn't featured :-p Quote:
I ordered the DVD's on Amazon and I'm on episode two now. I like it a lot and I'm looking forward to The Extras as well, I ordered that in the same order. Jlly |

That is true because Yell (my brother-in-law) is 4 years older than me & I know he never really got into groups like Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Ratt & whoever else was a new & popular metal band in the early/mid 80's. He's not even really a fan of Metallica

Finally watched The Dirt yesterday and it brought back many memories. Seeing the marquee shots around Hollywood at that time reminded me of all the bands that I saw back then in the clubs before their record deals. Overall, I liked it.
Also binged on Love, Death & Robots which is a bunch of animated shorts of varying kinds. All episidoses are between 5 and 18 minutes I believe so it was easy to sit there and go "i'll watch one more" kinda binge. This was pretty good and some of the animations were impressive. |

I went down a really interesting rabbit hole yesterday...
It started with History's Greatest Hoaxes which kinda stunk, but 1 episode was on the radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds by Orson Welles in 1938. This has always fascinated me because I actually remember being told about it 1st hand by my great grandmother when I was a kid (I don't know/remember if she actually heard the broadcast or just remembered the aftermath). That reminded me that I had They'll Love Me When I'm Dead about Orson Welles' last unfinished film The Other Side Of The Wind, so I watched that & it was really fucking interesting. When it finished, Netflix suggested the actual movie The Other Side Of The Wind, as Peter Bogdanovich (star & friend) and others had recently finished the movie for Welles & WOW! Not the kind of movie that I'd normally watch, but fuck me! Awesome movie!! (I do recommend watching the doc 1st because I think it helps make sense of things) After that I searched Orson Welles in Netflix & among the results was One Day Since Yesterday, a documentary about the Bogdanovich movie They All Laughed which starred Audrey Hepburn, Ben Gazzara, John Ritter, and Dorothy Stratten. Stratten, who was estranged from her abusive husband at the time, and Bogdanovich fell in love during the filming of the movie. She was killed shortly after filming finished by her husband in a murder/suicide. It's a great heartfelt doc. So now I'm on this quest to watch (or rewatch) movies by Orson Welles, Peter Bogdanovich, Wes Anderson, and a couple other directors that were featured as I went down this wonderful rabbit hole |

I finally got around to watching The Innocents, Greenie had mentioned this one, and found it better than I thought it would be. Actually binged the whole thing yesterday while on my laptop.

Watched The Silence and finally Bird Box over the past couple of days.
Bird Box was much better IMO but I do like Stanley Tucci so The Silence was pretty good. |
