It's an enjoy the great indoors kind of day. 20130521
Didn't get to bed until almost 2 this morning so having a hell of a time waking up.
Had planned on going to the gym first thing this morning but we are having a lovely tropical downpour with rain going sideways so staying indoors until it's no longer duck weather. Hopefully by the time I have to go see my spa client this afternoon the storm will have passed. Could be worse though. At least we aren't having two mile wide F4 tornados. Until this storm passes or until I'm forced to leave the house to go see a client I'll be staying indoors working. |

Good morning world
No tornadoes here, but it's almost time for hurricane season and it's been so long since we've had a bad one that we're kind of overdue. I'm not watching the coverage of the destruction in Oklahoma but my heart goes out to those people who lost children, relatives, friends, everything they own. (Didn't we used to have some page here that showed where people on this board were located? Wondering if we still do and mostly if anyone is in Oklahoma.) The rains that were supposed to start yesterday only seem to have drenched the mainland but maybe we'll get some today since there are lots of dark clouds around. But only planning to work online all day so either way is fine. Wishing a good day to all.

Good Morning,
I did not even know about the tornadoes yesterday until Cleo said something in a late eve post. Another whopper, I'll stick with earthquakes. Work and then out to run errands and that is about it. |

When I moved to northern California many years ago I was worried about earthquakes and then two friends of mine were killed wile sleeping in their bed by a mud slide. Then the houses in the Oakland hills all burned down in a fire storm.
Never did experience an earthquake but did learn that fire storms and mud slides happened even more. I'll take living in Florida. No mud slides, no fire storms, flooding at most only inches deep (I live on a 14 foot coral ridge so I don't even have to worry about flooding) and we get days worth of notice that a hurricane is coming. |

But it seems like that is every year you have to deal with it plus the clean up. With that being said, it seems like every year we have big fires and mudslides lately but only in certain areas.
Knock on wood, but we have not a real damaging earthquake, like the tornadoes and hurricanes recently, in years. |

California will eventually break off into the sea, just as florida is slowly sinking into the ground

NO! Im not a female - but being a dragon, I do eat them.

We had a few earthquakes here Sunday - around 4.0 - 4.4 so no real damage - it's a continuous thing when you live on the intersection of the Cascadia Subduction and the Mendocino Fault - of course it is Humboldt County so everyone just thinks it's groovy
