The Official: What link sites list blogs?

Okay, I started to need a thread like this, figure I would give everyone a shot at pushing their link sites.

If your link site accepts blogs, please give examples of the rules:

1 - number of entries before listing
2 - return link requirements (do you require a special link back, or is a link in the blogroll style area acceptable?)
3 - Do you sort your blogs by subject, or do you have all blogs in a single cat by themselves?

Go for it!

Alex

Have about 20 blog catagories, by subject. Have a one link text link for blogs, nice and small fits in the sidebar, generated after submit, just copy and paste.

Never thought about a certian number of posts, would guess about 10 or more. I tend to look more at the posts themselves, how well writen, how much text.

1. 10 - I just added that requirement after seeing this thread. More importantly there has to be some kind of actual writing and not just a fake TGP running on WP.

2. Blogroll style fine.

3. Everything goes in the same category.

I was gonna start a thread on how to review them and what to look for, I guess I can list them in my misc. section or when I expand a few more categories I will add a blog category, but the thing is IMO does any reviewers know how the review them and are there any guide lines for reviewing them?

Anyone key in with some guide lines to follow?

Wazimm, this isn't just a chance to put up standard spam. Can you please explain your rules for blog listings? How do you list them? In a section by themselves? In each section? What are your rules for blogs?

I'd love to see Kit post in this thread, out of the 10 blogs I submitted to PenisBot only 1 got listed, so it would be nice to know what the requirements are

BTW, great thread, I'm always looking for LL's that accept blogs, gonna add every one posted in this thread to my submit list

Nice thread Raw Alex, I happened to be searching the threads here a couple of days ago looking for LLs that take blogs.

For the record, I am taking blogs, the (seem to be pretty much what has been stated already by others) rules are here

Hi Alex, I'm glad you started this thread.

IMHO

Seems like the def of "blog" has not been defined very well. That would seem to be the best starting point. So far this thread contains more talk about spam logs than true blogs.

The fact is this: Active surfers will not deviate from the basic structure of "blogs". Believe it or not, surfers do alot of things beside shop for porn. If a link list promotes "blogs" it better damned well be a blog. Not a "billboard" for advertising. It needs to be interactive and current within the surfers eyes and opinions.

Porn slingers will not change the world of blogging. Adult blog WMs will adhere to standard blogging conventions, or fail. As it now stands, adult "blogs" will grow at the expense of other adult venues. i.e. A sale made on your blog is one less sale made on your flat mundane sling site. Net gain for WMs? - zero.

As a surfer, if I clicked on a so called "blog" link, and was spammed with nothing but 'buy me, buy me, buy me', I would shit-can the "blog" and I would shit-can the link list that supplied the initial link.

SHORT STORY:
If you list blogs(cat) then they should be true blogs. If you list spam-logs then they should be listed as spam-logs. Don't attempt to redefine the term "blog". As strong as you may think adult marketing is, it is not stronger than the current blogging trend. In this case, your personal 'link list rules' don't really matter. Either jump on this fast train or jump away. Link list owners are not in the position to dictate to 150 million surfers per day.

Would I want to post my adult blog on a link list that counted photos like Natalie mentioned? NO fucking way! Blog owner rules prevail here, not link list owner rules. If you qualify you may list my blog. Depending on the traffic you send (raw) I may, or may not, grant a recip link.

As I said earlier, this is said In My Humble Opinion.

later .............

Excuse me! I said if you wanted to put it in any other category than misc because I don't have a blog cat.

Quote:

This is because my linklist promises pics or movies in those categories. And on our linklists our rules prevail, not yours.
PS I change what I said, its now "if you are a board member I know and you arent a fucking wanker".

General Blog category at Triple XXX Info.
Even if your blog is just some pasted sales pages but is decent in design with a little style; we have been accepting them.

Hit sig to submit your blog:

Blog owner rules prevail as long as no one is linking into your blog. Once you start submitting your blog to LLs, the lister's rules prevail.

What surfers want is another story, and the bottom line is it depends on where they're coming from, like Natalie said. Now I happen to also hate splogs, but whether to list them or not is for a LL owner to decide.

Anyway, the point of this thread is for LL owners to share their rules/suggestions with each other, generate some blog submits, and make it easier for us to submit our blogs so lets get on with business

It's really late and I'm too tired to start another similar thread, so I'm hijacking this one.

Bloggers: Where would you prefer to be listed? On link list category pages, or do you think it would be better to have a blog category?

Spank you. I go sleepy-time now.

We have no exact rules regarding number of entries. I'm very affraid of splogs and I asked our chief editor to accept blogs itself only and used the google PR and age of blog as a good signs for listing.

I've seen a splogs with big entires amount, there is not a problem. Also, leeching other blogs entries and post them on the splog is not a problem too. You will see a fine written entries, but they're all stollen.

Have somebody an idea how to block the splogs?

One question I'm dying to ask: do anyone accept blogspot blogs? I anticipate a resounding no, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I have a blogspot blog ranking 1-10 on Google for a range of keywords. Moving it over to one of my hosts to build some incoming links for a blog already placing almost as high as it can go doesn't make much sense if the move kills all the SE traffic. Still when I'm ranking 2nd or 3rd for a keyword, its tempting to look for that final push to get it into pole position.

I've seen some places list blogspot blogs and others that won't, seems half and half. Of course the ones that dont, dont want dead or redirected links, as with all the talk of them deleting adult type blogs, sure you know that.

We have a general blogs category now and we'll list all legit blogs, but no blogspot blogs, as they daily get deleted or hacked. As soon as we'll have enough blogs, we'll expand the blogs section into a directory with categories and will automatically list your blogs in the niche corresponding cats. You can read our blog rules and submit your blogs here: http://www.pornlisted.com/submit.php

Thats what I should have said, as alessandro mentioned, the blogspot blogs getting hacked, hear that so often. Maybe more of a concern than deleted blogs.

You know I actually never heard of blogspot blogs getting hacked or deleted. Any links to some examples would be great. I had my blog suspended once and went through a manual review so in terms of content I'm pretty sure where to draw the line.

Anyway, I personally don't think its unreasonable for LLs to just rule out blogspot blogs altogether.
