Porn 2.0 sites?
Not sure if this is the right location for this post but here it is.
With the upcoming of web 2.0 sites. I was curious about the existence of web 2.0 porn sites. I have never seen anything touch base in this area, Does anyone know if anything like this exists? What are your thoughts on a widget based link list and fully dynamic/customizable porn sites? Last edited by p3rlphr33k; 2008-12-24 at 06:12 PM.. |

Porn and nudity in general is the thing that for a very long time will stay a taboo for an ordinary guy who's able to pay for the site he visits. It's a sicret that must be a secret and web 2.0 is the same as coming to the office show your pussy to everyone and say ...Yo guys, i love touching myself in the evenings! It's our super ego that does not let us be so open for the society. It's a secret that needs to be kept unless you are a freek or exhibitionist - such guys do not pay for porn - they take part, honney!
And customizable sites...what is the goal? You can do it of course, but remember that people come to jerk but not to generate the porn site of their dreams. The product exists. It must be bought? Yes! That is the fucken' true of the market! Nevertheless the topic is cool - interesting to listen to the opinions of the respected community. By the way, you are sweet! Kisses Goldie |

I have to agree, with most of what you said.. I guess the only aspect I could see useful in such an application would be allowing user to pin favorite categories and videos on the main page, then with a bookmark.. the user could retrieve all the porn favs with one click. The down fall would be that most of the industry would fail to participate in such a fluid environment. It would become difficult to keep track of whos ripping off who.

If there is nobody out there, that's a lot of real estate going to waste!

There are a few sponsors creating sites that sorta implement it, or look like it a bit.
Not sure though if just because they say it that really qualifies. |

Rock stars ... is there anything they don't know?

Thing is porn industry was born with web 2.0 concept (which main term is "user-generated content"): see millions of TGPs, linkposts, etc. there like 50-100% of all content generated by visitors (other webmasters) - just porn missing few web 2.0-like features ("folksonomy/tags", auto crowd-moderation, comments etc) due to anti-social behavior of it's primary audience.
I developed few "web 2.0"-like sites (bookmarks, videos, web proxies with social bookmarking, etc) and result was always same: up to 90% of visitors chose "private" profiles to hide their activity from others. Also content in porn industry isn't too valuable - tons of new movies, pictures, sites being published (and deleted) daily - so there is no point to bookmark certain pages/sites. EDIT: and one more thing. Can you imagine porn project in mainstream media/news? Like CNN news about Tommy's Bookmarks reach 10 millions visitors daily or CyberErotica get 2 billions visitors. Offline publicity is one of the main supporters of web 2.0 projects - which is completely missed in case with porn sites. Last edited by Pasha; 2008-12-25 at 03:10 AM.. |
