Firefox Adblock Extension
I installed the Firefox Adblock and Flashblock extensions on my PC. They were very effective in removing the ads with text underneath (from phpAdsNew) on a site I am building while keeping othe r images like TGP thumbs (from TGP Rotater). Does anyone else have any experince with this product. Are banners of any sort obsolete now? What are your thoughts?

Standard size banners have been effectively obsolete for years already.

Seems it looks for scripts and images that come from directories with names like ad, click, flow, sever, js, etc. and then removes them. So even if you are serving text ads using phpAdsNew from a directory with one of the aforementioned prefixes/suffixes then those ads will be gone too.
