-: Ebook :- Netpond? Many thanks!

While I have been doing Ebooks for the longest time, it is pleasing to see a larger organization recognizing this source of traffic on a broader scale.

It suggests the use of Ebay as one of the distribution outlets for this and many other ways to distribute the book. However, what I have found, that using this type of traffic attraction, it can really only be printed for IE users.

I have attempted to re-create my first ebook Getting It Online ™ (no current link to this book online) in PDF format without avail. However, this has not stopped me from trying and trying and trying to do this. This Ebook was distributed with full resale or distribution rights.

Many webmasters have followed my suit and maybe one day we will see this as a viable source of traffic generation.

...Netpond and Newbies really have nothing in common except ebooks and now that Netpond has made reference to them in a Newsletter, that the word is out on Ebooks as a viable source for traffic. Something I have used for "years" has now made a big splash.

Greeenguy, I did not praise anyone else's board here just referenced it. And it seems that out of the hundred's of Boards on the net, that this is the only board that has a problem with referencing other boards.

As for poor taste, if it is poor taste then there are a lot of people out there with it. Athough you may not have referenced any board on someone else's board you yourself were engaged in a thread almost a year ago to date, involving ********. Pimpdog references yet another board, where he stated his cause - he like many others feel that there is no need to write or even copy it all over again elsewhere, just reference it.

In many cases it is quite helpful to reference another board, especially in cases involving say for instance humor or even something as serious as parasite downloads. Interestingly enough, I found one that allows most LL owner's here the opportunity to correct problems with their puter's once hit with trojan horses.

Or even that they might place this thread on their sites to help their visitor's out that get atttacked from clicking on one of the "changed links" found on their LL. But unfortunately, the one I referenced as late as yesterday was taken off. Becuase it was someone's board where he posted his info regarding Yahoo, Google and other changes in SE's.

What is in poor taste is the arrogance displayed here on this board by many of your members. We even witness it here in this thread:

jaYMan <--- a man in business for two years and a site going not up but down. Maybe it is because he is on such a high horse his feet never touch the ground. Who knows not my concern other than "sharing info with others" so they can "share with me" is all that is important to me.

Not proving that I am better than the next guy, for christsakes - I am 44 years old not 15 and the ego trips of childhood are long past me. I smile brightly at my kids, when they fight over the window seat of my truck - it makes them feel important. And to me, hopefully, that gauge that they use to feel important will pass in time.

And the other one, I have seen here is "taboo subjects" I mean what the @#@$. The 50's and 60's are long past us where sex is no longer a dirty word. And life now seems to hinge on Political Correctness.

When I first come here I thought this was a decent board - the welcome here is well "in poor taste". You allow the hanger-ons, (I call them mafia wannabees) to control the flow of subjects often blowing a decent thread to hell and back - with bullshit remarks about the author of the thread and/or against a replier and all I can ask is what good is it?

It reminds me of Newbies when I first went there. There were a bunch of guys who did nothing but want to belittle people and all it did was fuck up the threads. It all stopped now and there are some decent subjects discussed, without the BS of who is more arrogant than whom. And what it took was not PC but common decent respect.

Well, I think I had enough - and all I can do is LM @#$#ing AO.

creamextreme, sad to see you go. Noone likes to have anyone unhappy. But many of the threads you started were all very controversial so I think you got off on the wrong foot.

You asked about AutoSubmitters and all the link list owners hate them and told you so. Then you went and started a thread saying you were starting an AutoSubmitter for Link Lists. Seriously what did you expect to accomplish with that? If you are starting one, then start it. Why post that you are after everyone said they hated them? Seems to me you were trying to stir up shit if ya ask me.

You're right, many people post about other boards. But they usually post a link to a thread or something. And I don't think Greenguy was getting on you, just mentioning that it's not proper etiquette to praise one board on another. No biggie, he's done it before as many boards usually do.

1 - any reference, especially a "thanks" one on this board to another one is NOT in good taste. There is nothing you can say to me that will make me think otherwise.

2 - the old "everyone else is doing it" makes you sound like a 10 year old

3 - My fight with Pimpdog was about 6 months ago, not a year ago. My fight with him had nothing at all to do with him praising another board or resource site on this board, so your comparison has nothing to do with this matter.

4 - I don't remember putting you or anyone else in charge of posting links to other boards about virus's or any other topic that you can possibly think of.

5 - jaYMan, who's poor taste you speak of, works for Netpond

6 - there are very, very, very few "taboo subjects" on this board - with the guidelines that we & the moderators have, off topic threads are usually moved to the proper category. Threads are rarely closed & NEVER pulled. You can talk about any @&$*ing thing you want here.

Ramster I got no problem with posters like yourself - you present yourself and what your have to say in a meaningful way.

Greenguy, I really had no problem with what you said either. It's the little crappy remarks, that people make when they come in.

You're right, your board and your rules, this is fine with me. If you do not like other boards referenced to broaden the interests of your viewers, this is also fine with me.

As for starting contriversial threads Ramster, I fell into one, not started it and the other, I started not to engage in any dictum of who is and isn't right, just wanted to know some opinions. And as it panned out, many here dislike AS's.

The problem is, I guess I was supposed to know this and it was not bad until a crappy remark was made there too.

jaYMan saying he never heard of me is fine, but the other crap that came with it, to me, isn't necessary.

You know nothing we say has to be agreed upon by everyone. Cool if you have an opposite opinion, but taking cheap shots is well a cheap way of doing things.

About moving threads, discussions and swearing. Well, I can see the first and the last as acceptable, but, talking about anything you want here, seems not to be the case. Unless that is, you wish to engage in endless battles, which go absolutely no where beneficial to anyone.

Now as for watching me or anyone else, well I guess this is one of the reasons you are here. I hope it isn't the most important one to you, but it is afterall, what you chose to do, start a webmasterboard and this is one of the things you as the owner of this board does. I have no problem with that at all.

Bookmark - was there ever any need to do so? And as for how did I find you? I found you referenced on another board.

But back to what I had said before, it is useless to start a thread and try to gain something from it or help others benefit from it when all anyone is going to do is engage in endless chatter about how inadequate they are, verbally, mentally, physically or even sexually, because of the subjects they have chosen to discuss.

All I said was thank you Netpond for bringing attention to a viable source of traffic and what do I get - not one remark on how wonderful an idea it is, but I did get some more in and out action again.
