problem with video - what does this mean?
hi, I wasn't sure where to put this but maybe someone can tell me what this is...
It's a javascript pop up window with a link to click for a video, when I click the link I get this message in firefox. I haven't let it go to see if the video runs yet, I've never gotten a message like that so I wanted to know if anyone knows what it means first thanks! |

It is just letting you know that it will be opening WMP to play the video.

Kids are great, Appu. You can teach them to hate the things you hate and they practically raise themselves now-a-days, you know, with the internet and all

you do not have the plugin for wmv videos installed, as far as I understand the message. Click "launch application" and I guess it will start playing or downloading the plugin.

hmmm ok...I've never seen that before & never had a problem playing video in firefox so I was a bit leery. I'll have to see if I'm missing an update or if my settings are messed up or something.
thanks! |

I think here the difference it, the video comes from a streaming server, therefor it will be delivered via the mms protocoll and you never have watched avideo of this before with firefox. Now Firefox ask you to add this protocoll to your standard application for wmv videos. I think it should be a security option
