Btw we have also an other wk 2008 going on, the hotshots lingerie wk 2008! The teams are from all countries and only 'Hot babes" are playing in it. So when the break starts in the euro 2008 game, then the hotshots lingerie wk girls take over for 15 minutes
This link shows the teams:http://www.veronicatv.nl/web/show/id=117566/langid=43 and i am not joking, this way they try to keep the viewer on their channel

I've been watching that penalty shoot-out EK since the beginning, it really has nothing to do with soccer at all but somehow it gets my attention

Some strange facts i just found about the dutch soccer team, they will not loose the game on the 21 of jun against Russia, their reason why:
21 juni 1978, WK Argentina: Italië - Nederland 1-2.
21 juni 1988, EK Germany: West-Germany - Nederland 1-2.
21 juni 1990, WK Italië: Ierland - Nederland 1-1.
21 juni 2000, EK Nederland: France - Nederland 2-3.
21 juni 2006: WK Gemany: Nederland - Argentina 0-0.

So or they win or they play straight, it where not the easy teams they had to play with(or something like that)

Too bad Portugal is out of the tournament, but the Germans did play the best game of their tournament so far.

Oh yeah, if anyone want to look at some players' wives: http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/251201...pt_SoccerWives

have to pop in ... mark my words Italy!!!! They have had some problems at the beginning (no Nesta and Kanavaro is a big miss for them) but they are the only ones in quarter finals with enough experience to go through all the games with 1:0 :-)

i have to admit, those germans where great but i already changed the names of those favorite good playing germans in my own names, like Ballack i name him bleekkk, zweinsteiger i name him zweinstein (from harry potter) friedrich i name him frietnicht (that dutch)

The sad thing for a player of the dutch team, Khalid Boulahrouz and his wife Sabia lost their first and to early born child a couple of days ago.
The dutch fans will show saturday with the game that their thoughts are with him and his wife.

Btw they are expecting 80.000 dutch fans will comming to the town.

I just wanted to say that I am not mad at holland AT ALL. The game they played against romania was an easy one. They played a nice, relaxed game, there was no evilness in their game, they did not play to send us home at all cost, they just played a regular game. they almost made it easy for us but unfortunately we were not good enough. this is why from now on I will support holland on their games from now on (stu please post me a flag and a tshirt so I can wear it out at the pub i'll tel u my address on icq)

the fault for romania coming home was ours and ours alone. I saw a beaten up team in that game, they almost refused to run... I don't know it is the coach's fault maybe... the team was still defending trying to keep a 0-0 score even after italy scored in their game vs france, which was pointless cuz it wouldn't have helped anyhow...

I'm not mad at the players at the coach or anything. they took us there, they played on-par and got equal scores with the world champion and vice-champion teams but could not follow trough. it's a young team which lacks international experience and it shows. maybe they'll get better in time

the only thing im mad about is the players think they're stars. the old generation led by hagi would always come and say "sorry guys, we tried our best, this was all we could do" but these youngsters all think it's somebody elses fault and instead of admitting their own mistakes they try to save face and place the fuck-up in somebody's elses back yard.

oh well...

Fantastic performance by the Russians, they thoroughly deserved to win. The Dutch obviously peaked too soon in the group stage, they were very flat for most of the game.
