400lb man's death ruled a homicide

ONLY because there was a struggle with other people. The beating caused "marks" on the lower half of his body. NO internal injuries. He had taken cocaine within 3 hours of his death (at the most), PCP within 5 hours of his death (at the most), he had methanol in his system. He also had more cocaine, and cigs dipped in PCP in his vehicle. And, he had heart disease. Basically because of all of those things, and the strain on his heart because of the struggle...he died.

I don't get it. Was it a homicide or he died because of his heart condition from the drugs and energy used?

Yea I watched it live and I don't get it either.

Seems to me it should have been ruled accidentally if it was a result of drugs or just natural death if it was due to his heart.

I've always thought that homicide meant that someone killed you, but they are saying that it was not the police that killed him.

Does this men that if I ask a friend to go to the gym with me and she dies of a heart attack then it is homicide since I asked them to go to the gym?

Technically, it has to be rules homicide. There are only 4 possible "manners" of death.

Suicide
Natural Causes
Accidental
Homicide

Obviously, it wasn't the first two. The coroner said since there was an actual physical altercation, then LEGALLY the determination has to be homicide.

They said ultimately the struggle was the cause of death, but he would not have died without all the other factors.

Being an idiot and being beaten to death by police.

I really have no Patience for police using clubs on people. There are other ways to stop people when a gun is not being pointed at you. ie...stun guns or mace. Almost all police now carry stun guns for just such an emergency.

Actually Jim, I believe the problem with a stun gun is the fact that if you have a heart condition it can cause death. Odd huh?

Yeah you can die from a stun gun, but more important is that they don't always work. If you are high on drugs or have thick clothing on they often do not work.

Anyway they didn't have stun guns to use.

Down here the cops were taught to use a choke hold on violent subjects using their sticks. It worked well enough, but sometimes they died so it is no longer used.

Everyone has there views thats for sure, but it's pretty clear clubbed or not, Fat Druggie Boy would have dropped dead one way or the other, not sure here Jim but I think a Stun Gun just would have done his ass in earlier. PCP and Coke are lethal enough by themselves, at 400lbs of Fat and the fact the jackass had a Cocktail into the mix, along witha heart condition, he might have died anyway.

I have no Sympothy for this moron, I have no compassion for drug attics, or people that start shit, he started it and the drugs, his heart and the police finished it.

Looks to me like they should have just offered him a Big Mac and fries and he would have hopped right in the cruiser.
