First, Greenie, please don't think this is spam. I don't use these guys, and don't even know who they are. Just saw this post on "that other board", and thought it was an amazing thing to do.

I think the point is to take them up on the offer, but hopefully not need to use it.

I think the deal is that you copy your site to their servers, then you have a choice of what to do.

Change DNS before the storm "just in case",

or

Change DNS if your other server goes down, so that you won't be without your sites for an extended period of time.

It sounds like a win/win situation to me, and I think it is really great that a company would offer something like this for FREE with no obligation.

I used to host at Split Infinity. The tech support is amazing and fast and I have nothing but good things to say about them. The only reason I moved hosts is because I got an incredible deal by a friend of mine that I just couldn't pass up.

I guess that is even more of a reason people should take them up on this. I don't recall ever hearing anything bad about them from anyone.
