Oh joy... another hot and sticky day... I want winter back.
My partner almost fell for a ebay/paypal phishing scam this morning. The only thing that saved her ass is that the password autofill utility that we use wouldn't fill in her info because it didn't recognize the url. I found out this morning when she came in asking me what the utility wasn't working. Can't tell you how many times I've told her to check the url very carefully before entering personally information. Just another day taking it easy while taking the last two days of this Z-Pak and getting over the remainder of this Cold. Anyone have any experience with putting Silver Dollar Fibered Aluminum Roof Coating on a roof? Our bedroom and patio roof is a flat roof addition that gets hot in the summer sun and I'm thinking of applying it hoping to cut back on the heat gain. |

Good Morning
Got up at 3 am and headed to the beach to feed the gulls. Lazy bastards must have slept in, so I ot high and left their grub on the sand. Stopped at the harbor and picked up 50 pounds of shrimp and some crabs for gumbo during the game tonight, although I see several varieties of seafood dishes being cooked today. Breakfast is on the desk: 4 eggs over medium, 4 smoked sausage links, grits, toast, coffee, and milk... come get it before it gets cold. Have a Happy Who Dat Day!  |

Cooked this Parmesan Crusted Tilapia last night, pretty good. Tonight, maybe Emeril's BBQ Shrimp. (This one is awesome!) Cottage cheese with peanuts and homemade buttermilk Ranch dressing is breakfast, enjoy!

The Bitch & I are heading up to Canada today to celebrate the big 08-08-08 festivities. We're staying at Casino Rama, which is probably not the best idea, since that will distract the shit out of me all weekend, but I'm hoping I can get some gambling in before & after the big event. I'm really excited about the ceremony & the after party should be a blast. I'm really looking forward to the Olympics   is there a wedding tomorrow? |

Morning (yes it still is) from my B-I-L's buggy office at the Smithsonian.
He's an entomologist who specializes in "stink bugs" and every summer he works on research here. My son is loving his behind the scenes tour and I find it interesting. I keep wondering where they put that dammed "ark" from Moses. We'd planned on leaving today to Philly, but we might stay one more day with Dave and catch the early train tomorrow to make it to Drexel by 11am. Despite my influence.. I guess Georgetown is out. So far Ga. Tech is winning. but I hold out hopes for NYU. Anyway have a GREAT day. |

Day 6 of a particular stumbling block. My days are filled with tweak, 34-80 minutes of testing, tweak, 34-80 minutes of testing... thankfully, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I don't believe it is an oncoming train. I will miss my internal deadline on this project, but, I wasn't happy with the results in my preliminary testing.
Congrats on the house sale Lorsha. Like Sue, we have a lot of homes around here that have been on the market for quite some time. Hopefully everyone has a good Thursday. I envision another day of testing is on my plate.

Good morning. Putting together a quick project for a friend of a friend today so can take some paypal money in for a charity. Real easy couple of bucks. I wish I could just have one of these every day to do. Such easy money.
Which is nice, because like JustRobert my stats this week have been pretty down. Today was more on par with normal. However, the weekend will probably make up for it or later in the month. Some leaf will turn. Today I'm leaving for a bachelor party in Chicago. So excited about this. Rented out a roof deck that looks on to the stadium for Saturdays game. All you can eat and all you can drink. Cubs vs the red birds. Solid. Other than that I have no clue what's to come the rest of the weekend besides lots of drinking.  Have a good one. |
