discuss, it's coming - i see the illegal tubes go away and the web will be left with a bunch of ligit tubes getting all our se traffic, witch the tgps and mgps are converting to tubes plus teves went way down in price, so more tubes

plus a old tgp has trust rank for age of the domain and linking power

I am telling you LL will get a few hits from the engines then

and within a year google will be serving up nothing but tubes, surfers want that kind of surfing

its not gonna change back, people dont want 3 clicks to porn then a list of categories then links they want thumbs of content and a couple min of a movie with a join link to click on

a tube can bring in big traffic, and they are paying out big money for buying links to rank, so they must be bring it in

I got ideas I am not saying, but I am forming a group of LL owners who want to make sales in a year or 6 months from now

we gotta dominate the serps or your gonna have a 1 sale LL in a year, submitters will give up in time - you will see guys

take me today 17k of g and good terms almost 30k in search strings and 1 sale today thats it, man we need mega traffic in the future and a LL will not bring it in so it will die a slow death, wont be worth reviewing - you will see people a lot of LL go off line, plus there not worth anything hardly now

so all those legit tubes will have all the se traffic and other traffic

there's netwoks of nich tubes that will blow you away and your LL

plenty of porn is my theme, who knows in the future I'll be getting it from the front and the backend

alright fonz when LL only get a K or 2 of traffic tell me they wont be dead

what people are not getting is the new breed of surfers changed, you need big traffic to make sales, look at it now

se traffic is spoilded so you need a high number of traffic, even targeted traffic

and a LL will not pull it - the tgps wont have hardly any submitters when they all go tube, plus the low traffic a LL has - submitting freesites will be like watching paint dry

then all the submitters will get a tube, except it now or your be out of biz or working somewhere

I'll bite. I understand how illegal tubes do well. They have complete movies and good SEO as surfers embed these links on their websites. Explain to me this please, how is a MGP fundamentally different from a legal tube? BTW, I am not sure all the illegal tubes will go away. Run by third world webmasters and using offshore servers, they are impossible to get rid of from a legal point of view. The only thing that will kill them is a lack of profit.

A friend of mine opened a LEGAL tube, 4tube.com, in Oct 2008 and he now has it up to 1.5 MILLION uniques a day. He bought traffic, bought links and did a LOT of promo for it but bottom line is it is doing 1.5 mill a day now in traffic.

I have no idea how much money he makes on it.

I visit the site and it looks like he put a lot of thoughts/work/money in it, this site looks just great.
It's very accessible to average joe surfer and offers free stuff.
Compare this tube to the other average shit out there and you can instantly tell that this site rocks.

Plateman why don't you open a legal tube and maybe you can beat the site that Ramster posted ?
Software is plenty to choose from, and almost every other sponsor offers prepared content for tube scripts.

Of course, and I would venture to suggest that the big decline in submits shows that many already think submitting to LL's is a waste of time.

The LL model was fine 8 years ago, good even 5 years ago, but it has hardly changed or adapted past a few more pics and some going for category recips to fortify their SE rankings. I look at most LL's nowadays and I see pretty much the same site I saw 8 years ago, the same designs, the same jungle of links. Surfers don't wan't that and are voting with their feet.

Not only that but still so many linklist owners are making newbie mistakes with their SEO. I mean asking for a text recip with anchor text "ABCDE Link List" or "JingleJangle Porn" or something that nobody searches for ... you really have to wonder.

Lastly the rules pages where you lay down the law, tell me I can't do this, can't do that, you will ban me from the internet if I do this, the powertrip is over folks. Submits and backlinks are your lifeblood and many of us simply aren't prepared to submit to a place that wants to make us jump through hoops for their 3 clicks a day.

Streamline your insite navigation, increase the content a surfer can see while decreasing the many clicks required to get to the content. Fix your recips and maybe try to change to an ABC or AB CD linking model.

Ask yourself what is the purpose of your linklist?

Are you trying to rank well in the SE's .. if so then change your recip or linking model so you are getting good backlinks and targeting the terms you want.

Are you trying to build bookmarkers .. if so give surfers a reason to stay on your site, and not get frustrated because of the maze like structure of your site. Do you have enough content to keep them on your linklist?

In short, linklists need to be reinvented. Seeing the constant fall of most linklists in the SE's, I would say the Search Engines agree too.

Link list owners, especially those who have had past success with their old link lists, really dislike change, and an amazing amount of newer/smaller link list owners are completely brainwashed (in the nicest sense possible) by the rules they grew up with.

Great thats what I been trying to say, we gotta change or all those mid traffic LL are gonna only have 5hun unique a day

people dont see or talk to the right people, the tubes want all the traffic se and all - in time not long the web will be all tubes getting traffic

and what LL are gonna get a few hits from the serps and recip traffic

man the last year is sad, is when most LL got blowed out of the serps cause google wants this and the surfers, we gotta renew our LL or keeping them and I am will keep mine and be part of history

It's all over not just the adult sites that are evolving, the whole web seems to be moving towards a more interactive and user friendly model so the average surfer's standards toward what makes a good site must have changed quite a bit from the 90's when link lists and TGP's were it.

I don't build free sites anymore, but I did make OK money off free sites for a while. Now I get more money just by submitting the odd gallery to Pichunter and Freeones than I got when I submitted the same amount to all the big name link lists. I guess it's a full time job and you need that constant traffic from submitting 10 galleries and 2 free sites per day, but who can be fucked with peon work like that.

Lets face it, 99% of the "webmasters" out there can't even code a simple HTML document properly, let alone program or build a decent web site. Maybe they should be punished for polluting the internet with their amateur crap, Google seems to think so.
