In the process of getting into the biz and want to make sure that I have solid and dependable hosting. I am a newb at this but I am talking with someone who has a lot more computer experience than myself. He suggested I ask for:


We'd want to run Zope, Squid and MySQL for starters. If it's a "jailed" setup, that would be mostexcellent.
As for bandwidth, just and idea, what would be
best is to find hosting that gave you max per second, not a monthly limit;
that way you can handle controlled growth (i.e. max 4 mb/sec)

It seems as though a shared environment would be a good start for you, although if you want a dedicated server to start that would be fine too.

All of our accounts have 100 mbps burstable connections so bandwidth should not be an issue, and our virtual platforms handle HUN listings all the time. As to storage and growth expectations we can keep pace with what ever comes your way.
