Greenguy you do have sites that have tons of free photos that in the end click to a sponsor that pays you and those sponsors also advertise with AVN. You want surfers to find the photos on your site first before fusker so you can get the signup right? So again I better find out what fusker is doing? I gathered they where ripping images from link lists. If you don't get your money from your link list.... Then where?

Fusker hotlinks images from any domain that has adult content on it that's not properly protected & they display the stolen content on their pages.

Just visited fuskerer... Not only do they scrape images but scrape the source URL along with it and post the images and URLS on their URL. That is really fucked. I thought 86.com or good ol'american 89scraper 89.com was bad until I surfed fusskkere sites. It's fucked for sure.

I get the impression that you are new to this interweb net thing. You argued until page 3 before even bothering to try to figure out what fusker was. There is a whole lot of enlightening that needs to be done here.

Adbrite is a joint venture between AVN and Pud (from fuckedcompany.com), using what appears to be software developed by Pud's side of things. I do no business with these people.

I also take no ads from AVN, and outside of paying them (occassionaly) for a badge to a show, I don't have any financial dealings with them.

No matter what I do in the adult business, I will be dealing with companies that deal with companies that deal with AVN. They are the big end of the stick in certain issues.

There is quite a huge difference between directly lining their pockets and dealing with people who deal with people yadda-yadda.

You are playing junior high debate techniques, which seems to about sum up there level of your understanding of the interwebnet connection computer thingie in front of you.

Yep, I'm sure if one digs hard enough...most sponsors/hosts do indeed have skeletons in their closets. Like Greenie, I try not to link to sites like Adbrite or those promoting them. But, I certainly don't have the time to dig too deeply.

You seem to have learned a few things about another segment of the business in this thread...knowledge is always a good thing. And if that newfound knowledge gives you pause to think about future business dealings, it's a very good thing indeed.

It isn't just because they didn't stop fast enough, but because they came up with a whole sack full of excuses about why they were on there to start with, and why they wouldn't turn it off.

I think people expect a company that is suppose to be an industry leader to be at least a little sensitive about things like theft and whatnot.

WHAT IS HOTLINKING AND BANDWIDTH THEFT?
Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a website's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an <IMG> tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, journal, weblog, forum posting, etc.

Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a website to a user's computer. When you view a webpage, you are using that site's data transfer to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over it's monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.

A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it.

Fuskerer simply places all on their pages and no bandwidth loss to you. If you get fusckered it won't really matter unless your site is about promoting free porn...then you compete with them on who see's the free porn first??
