Next computer I purchase for myself will be an Apple.

I was sooooo tempted to get a Powerbook last year but instead chickened out and got a beefy Vaio.

Damn it's sweet.... and slightly confusing

It's so light and skinny, but everything is so different. But it didn't take me that long to figure out how to hook it up to the network. Everything seems pretty simple.

One thing....

I just downloaded FireFox and I think I installed it, but I have this firefox.1.5.0.1.dmg on the desktop. Is it ok to delete the dmg file?

I think I got the dmg thing.
I click it and it mounts it. Then I can drag it to Applications and it installs it. Then it's just to unmount it and drag the dmg to the trashcan.

It seems to work at least

Exactly right Swedguy

The "dmg" is used to mount a disk image which usually contains whatever you want to drag to your hard disk (often the Applications folder). Once you've installed what you wanted, you can unmount the disk image and then trash the dmg file.
