Jesus, that makes me sad.
I had a cat once who was my best buddy. I'm not a cat person, but he loved me. He was a great cat. He used to wake me up every morning before school, he'd wait infront of my door until my father opened it then he'd jump on my head. Every morning. He'd watch television with me too while sitting upright, next to me. One night we were watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he was sitting upright, then got a little cat boner. He then looked at me. It was creepy. Guess he liked Sarah Michelle Gellar as much as I did. He acted as if there was a little person in him, had this really unique personality...like he wanted to mimic me. Poor bastard got out of the house and we found him days later near the train tracks. If it wasn't for an exam that morning I might have got him back into the house before he got to the tracks.

My God - what a devastating end for such a cool little guy. My cat is my little boy. He is awesome. Great personality, and very playful for a neutered and declawed house cat. He is allowed out in the backyard ONLY if he is supervised. Without supervision, he stays in.
More often then not, its usually him and me for most of the day and he is very well behaved. He loves watching TV with the tickers that go by like any stock channel, golf on sundays and he pretty much guards the house from one end to the other like a good housecat does. Right now I got him on a diet. He is 6 years old and I want him to lose about 6-8 lbs. He weighs 20. So, its gonna be tough but he's got 9 lives and I honestly think he'll be better off for it.

My mother since then has vowed to never neuter another pet because it seems like weeks after it has been done the pet gets killed.
So this time the new cat didn't die, it just ran away. It probably found some lady cat I guess =] Probably should have neutered the little bastard. He comes back every few weeks to eat...to visit I guess.

ADK,
That's the problem with Samson, my domestic long hair. You could be munching on ANYTHING say in the basement and he'll come charging from the 2nd floor bathroom window where he scopes the backyard and just sit like a perfect little gentleman EXPECTING to be given his share. Hey, a free meal is a free meal.
