Fuck my advanced submitter just died - WTF do I use to submit sites NOW?

In the last few days the tool I've been using for semi-automatic submission for years, Advanced Submitter, stopped working. It freezes and I get the error "floating point division by zero", lol.

As I recall, advanced submitter is defunct as a company - so no way to replace it.

What are people using as a submission assitant these days - FUCK!

Never really heard of advanced submiter but whar about chamelion ( how ever in the fuck you spell that)

I used it for freesites and tgp and would still be using it if i was doing gals or fs

I thought roboform was defunct - I used to use it, I THINK - or was that some other form filler.

No - wait - roboform isnt defunct, it's just pay now, or something... I seem to vaguely recall reading about that.

I use a multiple clipboard utility called CopyPaste Pro. I know they were supposed to be coming out with a Windows version, not sue if it is available yet.

Me Too. I upgraded to the paid RoboForm everywhere. I love it, we sync all our computers now so they all have the same passwords, since I do change them up from time to time.

I use Chameleon for tgp. I use roboform for link lists, have almost since I got in the biz.

Another good software similar to the one Cleo is using is "QuickPhrase". You can configure it for using CTRL+any keys. A good idea is to configure keys like: CTRL+E: email - CTRL+U: url - CTRL+D: description and so on.

I'm using version 1.70 which is licensed freeware. I just checked their site and now there's only a pay version available, but maybe you can find the old free version somewhere around the net. It already has all the features you need.

Hey Bill,

I just saw your post and I installed my copy of AS which seems to work perfectly so maybe you should try to reinstall it or try it on another pc and see if it works. It is a very helpful software indeed and I wouldn't jump to buy anything else since you don't have to pay for this one anymore.

I reinstalled it - still getting the error.

Do you use IE9? I suspect thats the source of the trouble. (on win7)

I will really miss this tool if I cant fix it.

I was wondering - it cant be all that hard to make a tool that does what AS does, without all the extra bullshit, it;s just a form filler.

Today I tried an opensource clipboard utility called ditto - setting up hot keys to hold the three lines of info I most need, site name, url, and description. That worked okay. I had all teh sub pages in one folder and opened them all at once, then just went from tab to tab.

It's a workable solution. Not as great as AS, but I might be able to get used to it.

Oh, I also installed an older roboform trial/free version, one that allows up to thirty profiles.

I already have lastpass as a password manager, roboform seems similar. I dont need a second password manager.

you folks using roboform - how the fuck do you get it to enter the info that changes from site to site - the site name, the url, and the description? Whats your roboform method?

I haven't yet seen how roboform (or lastpass) is in any way comparable to advanced submitter.

I'm also using windows 7 and IE9 and it works fine ... probably it has something to do with your windows ... might be a good ideea to reinstall your OS ... I usually do that once every year and everytime I'm amazed how good smooth and fast everything runs after a fresh install.

I used to dup a simple page that had a few clickcopy boxes, and a list of the submission URLs & and the post URLs.

A quick search/replace of the post URLs, and fill in the boxes with the submission information was all I needed!

I use the Roboform Toolbar for Firefox. Here's my settings:

On the "Person" page I have my Name and Email.

Then on the "Custom" page is where all the freesite info goes. Make sure to include the "Other Match Strings" because some submit forms use different phrases. Just change the "Field Value" with each new freesite.



This takes care of everything. For most submit pages, I just click the Roboform button and then hit Submit.

Thanks man that was very clear, I got it right away. Will try that.

Now just have to figure out how to get roboform and lastpass to play nice together.
