ccbill and canadians needing visa

from what i'm told, you can't just add it as a feature, like you could if you were an american. my question is why? any ccbill guys around? as far as i know, canada/us have a free trade agreement, nafta etc, appaear to be fairly good partners, it just seems odd, so, what is the reason?

This is only due to the restrictions placed on us by Visa. Canada and the US are considered different Visa regions and Visa has only allowed us to process in the US and EU regions.

Good to see someone from CCBill here as well!
Any idea why that is though, are us Canucks grouped together with all of the other "bad" countries? Or do they just figure we'll be polite and fork over the dough?

And if CCBill was registered in Europe, would Visa still ding Canadian webmasters?
Guess we need a Visa rep on this board as well

A Visa IPSP cannot operate in a region where they do not have a banking relationship. Since none of the Canadian banks will touch porn, we're all out of luck. I'm not certain but I think Australia has a similar problem.

Got to be an acceptable work around as there are many Canadian sponsors. Do all of them have a US citizen as a partner?

As I understand it you have to form a company in the USA and that requires an agent or partner in the USA.

Well, I can think of a major Canadian sponsor in your backyard that has some solo girl sites, and can throw 1000s of affiliates at it.

Also another sponsor that specializes in Candian solo girls.

There is also a specialized resource site that might be of interest to you.

PM me if you want additional information.

Anyone can open a US corp- there are a jillion registered agents for hire in Nevada alone.
The problem in this instance is that Visa requires that the Ccbill principal to hold either a Social Security number or US driver's license.
For many, this means handing over the financial reins of your company to someone else, in another country no less, and is a risk few are comfortable taking.

In my case, I have special immigration circumstances. Some others have US based relatives or good friends that have helped them.

You could always lobby your local MP about the collusion that the gov tolerates amongst the banks

Why not partner with someone in the USA who has a ccbill account and have them set you up a sub-account for your site. Give them 5%. They can provide you with full access to the sub account. You don't have any friends in the USA? Have them set up a site for your affilate program and register that site under ccbill and place your site in a sub-account under that one. Only issue I really see is the trust thing. They can set the business up as a sole ownership and register the name of the business locally in most cases for like $50.00. All the transactions will have to be given to their accountant but as long as their bank account shows the remaining percentage of funds transfered to your bank account they are covered. In the end as long as they show they only made 5% they will be cool with taxes, plus they can start writing off a shit load of things that most can not. IE your business would relate to you having to look good. This person being your partner could realisticly write off makeup that their wife/mom/GF bought an tell the IRS it was really make up they bought for their business. But I don't really recommend that as it's not legal but fact is everyone and their mom finds little loops holes in taxes or at least tries to.

Juggernaut, you were doing okay until you started giving advise about taxes. Best to leave that to a paid CPA type and stick to webmastering here. Hell, you would get someone locked up for fraud.

Assuming that the domain has to be hosted on the program's server do you think that the 5% is enough? If it is not hosted by the program then it would appear to me that CCbill/Visa would see that it was a work around.

Speaking of trust! IMO, the friend that they choose and the partners in their venture need to be straight up with CCBill/Visa. They could end up out of business for lack of any processing.

It is obvious that Teela needs a partner in other areas but this young lady has great protential and does not need to accept bad advice and gamble with her future. I am sure some of you young bucks would be willing to invest a few thousand to get her off the ground.

BTW, I would not stake my name, deal with ccbill as if it was my site, manage an affiliate progam including sending out a newletter for 5%. Not knowing what the gross is, it is too much risk for so little take. But what would I know?

Chop agree on the taxes, bad advice. But what I am saying as far as the ccbill is concerned should be ok. If I run a program under my ccbill account and I'm from the states. I can't place someone's site under the program who is not in the states? In fact it really does not need to be a program, it just has to be a legal business. The reason I say this is when a customer signs up at her site they will receive the confirmation e-mail. In that email it is going to state "Welcome to blah blah site", if you place up your company name, you can create a custom email that states "welcome to blah blah owners of teela.com and thank you for joining" The company is based in the states and that is what ccbill is going to put on your master account. So now any sub accounts created under that account for no matter what site, "balls.com, rope.com etc" are going to read that companies name in the email. I had this problem when I started with my first cam site. I opened my ccbill account under the camsite name and then when I opened my current site, people were getting confirmation emails for the 1st site. Having it changed was not an easy task. Having a parent company solved all that. Now I can put up any site I want and the confirmation mails are going to read something simular as up top. It allows me to start and stop ventures with no real fustration.
She needs to find a friend who has nothing to do with porn. Someone who knows her well and is willing to be the business owner/partner in the states. There is nothing illegal about it. She provides the cash and site content and they provide the so called location stability visa is looking for. ONce this is done she would have to run the site off a sub-account, but the person's who's name is on the account would have to give her full access to the sub-account. If it were me, I would give her full access to the master account.
If you look at my site camhostlist. It's almost the same thing. I provide the girls with visa processing. 99% of them are out of the country, each girl who signs on my account gets an affilate ID and now is able to send customers that they get on yahoo, msn, aol etc instant messenger to pay for their shows threw my site. They can either log on ccbill to cheak out their sales or look directly in their accounts on my site to see the transaction info. At first I was making sub-account for each girl and that got crazy. I found it alot easier to make a afil program an use the link codes to track everything. Makes like really easy, it provides me with a one stop management interface for all the girls and does not fill up my sub-accounts list that I have to wait for an approval through ccbill. If I wanted to run a program under it I'm sure I can. I have not tried but I'm sure if I rack my brain can figure out a process for that. I take a commission for being a middleman. It's better for me as I now don't need my own servers for cam software. My backend is completly managed by one if not the best processor in the world for adult. If I find a girl cheating she losses her visa processing by just a simple click. I provide them something they can not get in their own countries. For me taking 5% is not worth it as I am the one who works the whole site management, traffic etc. But for someone just sitting in the states as a name on paper 5%? Not bad. If you think about it, someone could easly set something like this up for her. They have full control over the amount of % that is paid out to an affilate and could set it up so teela got 95% and that would be 95% after ccbill got their cut and she can see the cut in the admin section of ccbill, heck she would be paying it anyway on her own. Use an affilate button on one of her join pages or take a ccbill page and just replace the ccbill button with an afilate code button.
I don't think the site has to be hosted on the programs server at all. At one time I had two hosting companies and both had my ccbill stuff on them. CCBill did not care, as long as you talk with them on the phone and explain "Yes they are my sites", as long as they pass the visa approval process you should be ok. All they really care about is making sure customers are not going to get ripped off and put in multible chargebacks. At one time I had a search for age range on my site and forgot to set it up so it was 18 and above, ccbill would not approve the site until I got that fixed. I just removed it to make life easy. That's the only time I ever had an issue with them questioning my of my sites. Never once have they cared where any of my sites were hosted.

Yup we've got the same problem down here. While there are always work around ways of complying, we don't have the luxury of convenience that usa and select EU countries have.

I can't see many legitimate business owners risking their own Visa status for 5% of a fledging site that they hold no control over. Not only is it considered aggregating, but it's downright dangerous. On top of it all, they would be taxed on her sales.

Edit: Of course, there will always be a few who would sell their mother for the attention of a pretty girl.

No homo! Me knowing and enjoying Ani DiFranco does not make me gay, or even more gay than you may already think that I am.

why not partner up with a program you have a nice site and someone could help with an affiliate base and more hosting and tools etc, and it would be easier on you. Plus you would probably end up making more money i might know a few program owners who could take you in i would have to ask how they work that

Your only option if NetBilling cannot set you up via Europe is to partner with a company. So you run your site updating, making hosted galleries ect. and they have it under their program. They process for you, collect the money and send you your share at the end of each month. Usually you can see the daily stats, sales figures, income, ect. for your site. They take 30% (or whatever the % is) to cover the processing fees and a little extra for them showing you what your income is.

Of course you HAVE to trust them to pay you and not keep your money.

I may be able to help there if you have no other options.
