I just found out that my digital cable box can be upgraded to a lame ass Canadian version of TiVo, but the unit is $800. Might have to ask Santa for that one.

So, Vickie and I had a discussion last night. Her, claiming that there have been more women winners in Survivor and me, of course, claiming there have been more men. I went to look it up and really couldn't find anything. If I spent more than a minute on it, I'm sure I could find it but...

They have a new survivor each new tv season. I think they slacked between the first two survivors though so I think maybe 5-6 years?

There's better alternatives than our the Canadian TiVO that rogers is offering.

Digital recorders cost about the same but without any monthly fees...they're also compatible with any tv connection (cable, satellite, antenna)

Or as an alternative, if you're computer hardware savvy you could build your own digital recorder customized however you want for around the same price if not cheaper

Technically I can record on my Xbox, but I never have hard drive space. I'd have to burn a ton of games first.

Any recommendations for a digital recorder other than Shaw's?

They have a range of DVRs on the bestbuy site as well if you want to see what else is available.
