Everyone has a right to their opinions, even if they are wrong. And everyone has a right to voice their opinions, provided they don't stir up hate or violence or such.

And you are lucky, I can be very opinionated, and the replies you are getting are polite compared to the replies I get from some of my board posts.
RE: "I can't believe I'm getting hate e-mail on this subject too" Laugh at it. If someone is afraid to post their opinion on an open board and have to send you hate emails, then however wrong you are, they are worse than you. So just smile smugly and feel superior.
