C'mon, Linkster, aren't you splitting hairs here? Even you acknowledge that it would probably take google a month to respond to a DMCA complaint.

I didn't mention that caveat that some hosting is "bullet proof" - perhaps I should have, but I pretty much take it as a given that everyone knows some hosts outside the US, that welcome bulkers and spammers, laugh at the DMCA.

I've not heard of a case where the registrar actually killed a domain based on a single DMCA complaint from an ordinary webmaster. Have you?

As far as the spamreport getting google to quickly act to remove the pages from the database - maybe so - but I haven't seen it, and I have no basis to believe that it would happen quickly. I would expect it to take weeks if it did work.

UW, when did you first report these asswipes? We can start the clock and see how long it takes for google to remove the pages.

BTW, UW, can you tell us where these pages are, so we can watch them?

I still think a DMCA against the host is the fastest way to take pages like these down. (It won't remove them from google, but at least the shitstains don't get to profit from the stolen copy.)

I dont agree in this case - I think a spamreport with lots of info would be the best

I believe they would if you show Google the number of doorway pages they have genereated, the use of the cloaked pages for Googles bot, and the misdirection of the surfers to a different page based on the keywords
