If you have to drink beer, drink light beer & if possible, eat pretzels. Stay away from fatty or deep fried snacks.

I've also noticed a lot of fatties wearing clothing when they weigh themselves. Shorts vs pants can easily be .5 to 1 lb.
Try doing what I do: move the scale in front of a full length mirror & weight yourself in the nude. Not only will you get a more accurate weight, you'll feel disgusted with your appearance and be more likely to keep on the diet
...and stop with "the camera weighs a pound" We're all holding a camera.
