Oh, I wondered what G meant by "Fat Tuesday" yesterday, I had not realised we were that far into the year already. (Is Easter early this year, or am I late?)
We call it "Pancake Day", and eat pancakes to remember Christ's suffering (and no, I have no idea what the fuck pancakes have to do with "Christ's suffering", and I'm supposed to be a Christian). I'm sorry I missed it because eating pancakes on Pancake Day is one of the few religious practises I keep (I like pancakes). The other one I observe is eating toasted spicy buns on Good Friday - I like spicy buns too (this is also to commemorate Christ's suffering, and I have no idea what toasted spicy buns have to do with Christ's suffering either, but the buns do at least have pastry crosses on them).
Oh yeah, and I celebrate Christ's birthday in December by eating too much and drinking too much, but I don't think that is actually sanctioned by the Church!
