Yes., I did too, but with a good reason/excuse. The husky sprained his ankle (or I think technically - his toes, but the bit that most of us think of as a dog's ankle). When getting on a train back from the farm his rear paw went in the gap between the train and the platform while getting on the train, and he hurt it pulling it out. So I spent most of Sunday comforting him.

I have had to spend most of Monday working, because I am already about a month behind, and loosing Sunday was the last straw.

Puppy News
I have a radio alarm which wakes me up with a news magazine program. I usually listen for a while before getting up. However the puppy always jumps up, gets off the bed, and heads to the kitchen as soon as it goes off. I have always assumed that this is because my first job of the day is to feed the dogs and cats, and I thought he was simply saying "You are awake now, so feed me fatso!"

However yesterday (Sunday) I discovered I was wrong. On Sunday the news magazine gets a day off, and the three hours it usually runs for are taken up by religious programs ending in a live broadcast of a mass. I normally re-tune my radio to a different channel on a Sunday, but I forgot. When the radio went off it was about ten minutes before the hourly news broadcast, so I listened, waiting for that. Then after the news and the round up of the national newspaper headlines they started broadcasting the mass, so I turned the radio off.

As soon as the radio went on the puppy disappeared as usual. But as soon as I switched it off the puppy came back and jumped back on the bed. He stayed there until I finally got up and fed him.

So, obviously, the reason he leaves me in the morning is not hunger - He just does not like talk radio!
