Current big news story in Britain at the moment is that the Metropolitan Police (London Police) are clamping down on fat out of condition officers, because they are embarrassed that too many of them look like Officer Wiggums. The rule is "Loose weight fatty or leave the force." I got to see why this is an important issue first hand today.
Walking to a London park via a footpath today I was passed in the opposite direction by a fit looking black guy running hell for leather out of the park. After he had disappeared from site, a chubby policeman ran round the corner at about half the first guy's speed, puffing with exertion and asked if had seen a guy in a blue tracksuit. I said yes, but as the cop disappeared, pointed out that there was no way he would "get his man" running at that speed!
