Really? And when your lawyer tells you it will cost you ten to one hundred times what he owes you to sue, and if he wins, that much again in his costs. And if he looses, he can still declare bankrupt giving you, perhaps 10c on the dollar, so you will still loose out by tens of thousands of dollars.
When you find out that there is about a 20% chance you will end up winning, and getting all your money back (including costs). A 40% chance you will win, but not get all your costs back so be thousands or tens of thousands out of pocket. And about a 40% chance you will loose so bad that you will loose everything you own and be declared bankrupt?
Those percentages are off the top of my head, the real ones will be different. But your lawyer will tell you something like that with similarly horrifying odds.
So, after he has told you all this, and you know that you are most likely to loose a lot of money by suing, will you still go ahead and sue?
