Back home after a cold and dull Christmas with my father. He keeps saying how warm it is in his house - it is not, it is fucking cold!
Visited an historic house while there and took his dog on a few walks, but other than that spent most of the last few days reading or watching TV while Dad played patience on his computer!
We actually had TV dinners on Christmas day, eaten out of the plastic carton.
Back home and working now. Dinner with my sister tomorrow, a sort of "late Christmas" as she was away with her husband's family over Christmas.
I have the solution to that area code problem: Do what I do - live on an island small enough to have only one time zone!
(Although that does not work when an idiot American client cannot understand why it is not the same time in England as it is in America!)
