Effectively promoting a paysite without affiliates?

I'm looking for some modern promotional ideas. I'm looking to step up my game promoting my paysite. I get about a join every day or so, or every other day. Much less than I want / need to be getting to make a living doing this. I get approximately 150 uniques per day. The site is 6 years old now, and it is a premium "brand" that is a common pop-phrase.

I get about 20 type-ins per day, and 30 uniques daily from referring sites and affiliates. The rest is SE traffic. The site got 4,302 uniques for the past 30 days. Zombaio stats say my retention ratio is 1:2. I'm billing $7.95 / 2 day trial, rebilling to $24.95 / 30 days. And I've got a $24.95 / month option as well.

I've got an Adwords campaign that seems to do OK. It's profitable, but I'm not rocking out with it by any means. I have a 2.8% CTR which I'm happy with.

I produce the content myself, exclusively for my site.

I think I should be able to produce about 10 sales per day. I'd be quite happy with that, too. Back when I started the site, I was able to generate about 18,000 uniques per day to my galleries, submitting them daily with Chameleon Submitter. I liked the routine, and it definitely produced results that I was happy with. At my peak, I was generating about 4 sales per day with nothing but those galleries. It was fairly predictable.

Here's why I'm posting this: I want to get myself back into a groove, a daily routine that I can commit to that produces predictable results similar to the days of producing galleries and freesites. Right now I'm fairly lost with what I should be doing on a routine basis.

Can you point me in the right direction? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
