FPA on ad clicks?

Does anyone have experience putting FPAs between your gallery ads and sponsors? So when a user clicks on any ad link, they get an FPA before going to the sponsor. I would think this would be a good way to "pre-qualify" the sale, before sending the sponsor traffic I may not get back if they don't like what they see.

This seems to satisfy most of the LL rules out there that mention no FPA before content. Do any list owners have a problem with this? If so, why?

I saw this mentioned on one of the LL how-to's out there. It sounds like a good idea, but I don't see anyone doing it. Is there a reason?

Thanks,

sw
