Still using paypal? read this
Looks like paypal is going to start fining people 500 bucks per transaction for using paypal for adult related items, prescription medicines, or gambling related items.
If you're still doing this, you're risking losing your ass now it seems. here is the article to back it up. http://reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml...toryID=6208524 sad news. stupid paypal. |

ePassporte isn't much better. I'm having big issues with them this week. Money Bookers is looking more and more enticing.

No offence Apu, but when they were handing out religions you must have been out taking a whizz

I'm surprised at how many people are still using PayPal for adult and gaming stuff... shocking! But then again there were quite a few companies that posted that they'd finally gone to ePassporte or other industry-friendly solutions just recently - it's hard to make the change (especially when PayPal is just SO damned easy!), but you've just GOT to do it.
Hope too many people don't get fined... get out - NOW! |raygun| |

Is there any alternative to Paypal for MICRO payments?
Let's say for amounts under 5 Dollars? Like the way many TGPs are using PayPal for "guaranteed next day listing." A good thing killed by corporate interests.

i use paypal to register domains, which are usually adult based... could i get fined for this? i wouldnt think domain registration is much of a risk for them (as far as chargebacks and such go)

Typically, for recurring membership sites it runs from 12%-15% of COLLECTED funds. here is a little more about us.... ...because we have been processing checks longer than anybody on the Adult Net, we have: - the largest negative check database in the industry - propriety fraud controls on the front-end - a "pre-note" process which helps eliminate bad account info from ever being presented to the bank - we "re-present" all NSF transactions on your behalf - we have an in-house collections dep't that recovers money on bad checks ... AND we only charge our processing fees on COLLECTED monies! (unlike our competition) There are NO set up fees, so there is no reason not to set up an account and COMPARE! what else would you like to know? |

I like PayPal because I generally hate the other services available. Epassorte always gets to bank some money and support can take weeks. The fact that I even needed to contact support is bad enough.
Some other places are overly complicated. Useless Warrior, If information is not readily available to the public there's a reason for it and I've never seen a situation where the reason is good for you. |

Paypal banks money too - 3% isn't it?

3% isn't HUGE, but everyone has to take a cut - that's how business is done. You want they should do it for free? They have to make $$$ too. |

Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

I had my paypal account for RedneckPorn frozen wayyyy back in the day. I was probably one of the first and I've never understood why people continue to use them - even require the use of them (in situations where I'd buy advertising for Dormbucks on tgps, etc.)... oh well, good riddens to paypal, I haven't looked back since I stopped using them.

I would rather wire money anywhere on the planet than use paypal. Less convenient but cheaper. I have no idea why anyone wants to cling to any one method for payment? Then again I've been doing business all over the globe for more than 20 years.

So if I have to send $500, PayPal would cost me $15 & ePassporte is what? $5 each time? I'm so confused - LOL Maybe I can just send checks & let the other end worry about it - like I do with Murray - LOL Of course, I think a lot of us are also forgetting that PayPal, while not good for adult stuff, is pretty fucking fantastic for everything else |
