Smile WRT The Newsletter

RE (from the newsletter) "If it were not for people breaking unjust laws, America would still be under the rule of England."

If America was still under the rule of England, your laws would still be the British laws, and in England we do not have an equivalent to 2257, I don't have to put any 2257 compliance notice on my site (except when I want to link on a link list that insists on it). I don't even have to hold any documentation whatsoever. So the reason you got to obey this new law is because you are no longer under the rule of England.

That little tea party in Boston was not such a good idea after all was it ?

So, we would be better off if we were still under the rule of England. How about India?

If he had only known.
Where the hell were all of the good prognosticators when we needed them?

RE: "How about India?" - Well that depends. If you are talking porn wise, then yeah they would be better off, India has very strict anti-porn laws. However I am guessing that most Indians are more concerned about other aspects of the "British Raj".

RE: "Mel Gibson screaming, "FREEEEEEDOMMMMM"" Yes but where as India and America got their Independence, Scotland did not. Let that be a lesson to you, you want to overthrow another government, don't let an Australian lead you.

RE: "So, we would be better off if we were still under the rule of England." A lot of people still think you are. One of the most frightening aspects of the recent war was that just before it kicked off a British paper sent journalists over there to find out if they really wanted to be liberated. Over half of those who considered it an "invasion" rather than a "liberation" condemned it with words to the effect of "The imperialistic British are just trying to build a new empire, they will invade, take over our country and their lackeys the Americans will help them invade like they always do"

Of course your biggest problem over there is that even if you did come crawling back and asked to be annexed again, we don't want you.

So, you believe that America is England's lackey?
I thought the problem Tony Blair was having was that people thought he was America's lackey.

RE: "So, you believe that America is England's lackey?" No, you misread my post. The point I was making was that most people in the Middle East still think (thought?) that Britain is the superpower and America a colony that helps them out.

RE: "I thought the problem Tony Blair was having was that people thought he was America's lackey." Hell yes, one of my favourite newspaper headlines of recent years was over a drawing of George W. and Smiley Tony which showed Blair as a dog and Bush saying "Good boy, come here, sit, stay, roll over" !
