Thats a new one

Maybe I have been out of the loop, but I saw something quite interesing in google results today. One of the listings where the link to the site should have been it said, "This site may harm your computer". The link went to a google page that explained:

"This warning message appears with search results that we've identified as sites that may install malicious software on your computer. We want our users to feel safer when they search the web, and we're continuously working to identify such dangerous sites and increase protection for our users."

It is kinda nice that they are trying to protecting the surfer, and might help get rid of some scum sites. I do have to wonder how they find this, I imagine bots can detect it. So I guess it's a good thing?

I do also have to wonder, could it be tripped with legit code?

Is this new or am I just late on the news?
