Morning!

Well, my beloved Sabres kicked off the 2013-14 hockey season with a loss to Detroit last night. The score was 2-1, but it really wasn't that close.

Tonight, my beloved Bills are traveling down to The Mistake On The Lake to play Cleveland on Thursday Night Football. It'll be nice to see 2 mediocre teams play for a nationwide audience.

So, until game time, I'll be performing various Fantasy Football & Hockey tasks. It's called "priorities", people!

No Sabres, Bills, or games here today and I doubt there ever will be.

Just another not so thrilling day of doing magazine ads for the restaurant, adding in the stuff that was sent me last night for the Project Cerebral blog and doing some adult work while keeping my leg elevated on a heating pad.

Last night we went to the grocery store. It was walk about a 1000 yards, stop in pain and wait and then walk a bit more. Bought a big bottle of cheap red wine since I'm supposed to drink two glasses a day. I ended up drinking half the bottle and got shit faced. Personally I don't find anything enjoyable of the effects from alcohol, especially the mild hang over that I have this morning.

Just a usual day for me before chilling tonight then tomorrow I drive down to Buffalo to watch my Sens beat the Sabres tomorrow night. And then Saturday is our hockey draft.

Good Day

Working all day with some odds and ends as I am taking a 4 day vacation with my wife starting tomorrow. Driving up the coast from LA to San Francisco area on Friday. Going into Napa wine country and 49ers party with my in-laws before driving back down the coast on Monday. Weather is suppose to be great so I am looking forward to this needed time off. Thankfully one of our sons will be staying at the house to take care of the cats as he wants to get away from roomates for a few days (and probably throw bbq party here) so there is almost no worries about being gone

Back from holiday, spent the last couple of days catching up on the shit that piled up while I was away. Now that is done I want to go back on holiday again. Can't though, have to work, and Dad has sold the chalet. (Which was the reason for my sudden holiday. He has had it since I was about twenty, and I've spent decades of summers on holiday there. But Dad moved last year and finds the journey to the chalet from his home too much for him - understandable really, he is 83, so he sold it. I was taking one last "goodbye" holiday in Winterton before they exchanged contracts.)

Personally I'm more interested in manatees and Keys deer as I see dolphins all the time when I'm out on the water and deer are much more cute than a feline that wants to eat me.
